Why we get banned. Jagex, you failed.

The only way Jagex can ban us these days (if you use a good bot, say iBot on neXus), since they cannot detect these whatsoever, is because of other players.

They rely on other player reports of you to ban your account, and they rely only a small amount on other factors.

Yes, they can ban you/detect you for botting 24/7, over botting, using auto-clickers, etc. They can detect all of these. However, our bots these days are too far advanced for these bot like actions.

If all bots had an extremely advanced auto-replier, then Jagex would lose most of their player reports, meaning we get FAR less account bans.

Just my info, though I believe it's true since I have had too much exp over this issue ...

yes Robotzindisguise's new MTA bot has a highly advanced auto talker but it hasnt worked for my account yet. I suggested having a sperate thread here on sythe where people could in put questions that real peopel might ask and create repsonses to that question. a sort of open source dictionary that all scripters could add to their scripts. In effect new bots would being constantly updated with new responses and it will hopefully have a wikipedia effect

good idea. i wish i had the programming skills to make one of these. this is somewhat true.

YOu could make tons of cash with a bot scripted like that, but I mean why put forth the effort for runescape when it is going to be obsolete in 4-5 years.

Well, if someone felt like it we could set up an online database that we fill with words and phrases and some responses to each of them. And it would not be hard to make it know what your talking about with typos.

 

A autoresponder for that actaully wouldn't be that hard to make, the words in RS aren't too hard to analyze, it's just that a lot of work would need to be put in for responses to different situations, and not saying the same thing multiple times.

 

This is wrong. In fact, the mouse movements that most bots make can be detected in some way. Their mouse detection algorithms are incredibly advanced.

 

I'm quite Sure mimicking human mouse movements would be nearly impossible.

If you're reported Jagex have people who will (eventually) look through data of your in-game activity, and make a decision on whether you'll be banned. If the bot is undetectable, you will fool them, if not you'll get banned. So, it's not just a player reporting you that will get you the ban.

The problem with programming wikipedia style responses is, if Jagex know what the bot can (and can't) say, it would compromise all other safety features programmed into your bot. For example if some JMods decide to go bot busting, they can program a reply(s) to a question of their choice, go in game and ban every bot they come across.

No, robotz is extremely right. For the safety of our accounts, he shouldn't do that. Unless he made over 1000+ word choice phrases and made the whole phrase make sense but have a random choice of words every time.

My bot does auto-talking but it's workings are kept secret, so that bots cannot be identified. There is also protection from it repeating the same comments, it keeps track of conversation etc - but the problem with most bots, like speljohan says, is detectable mouse movements rather than player reports.
Note that whatever bot you use, if you spend too much time logged into RS there's an automatic ban of up to 1 black mark, depending on how extreme the amount of time you spent logged in.
