no i would hate to know because say i was like 30. and i found out i was going to die in 3 years those 3 years id be depressed and scared and wondering how its gonna happen.

 

meh before i die i would rather go on a killing spree

For me it all depends. If it said I was gonna die at the age of 80 I don't think it would be bad knowing that since it would mean i got 65 more years to live out my life to the fullest but lets say it said at the age of 30 then it would mean i got 15 more years to live my life and I would probably dwell on it till i was 30 and at the age of 29 I would know this was my last year on the earth and it would be hard.

 

This would be true if destiny and the future were two predictable subjects, however, they are not. If you've been given information about your death happening when you reach 80 years of age, and therefore put a gun to your head, then wouldn't that mean that your death was scheduled at the age you were, the second in the essence of time that you were in, and where you were?

Let me try to make this less confusing ..

If I know when I am going to die, put a gun to my head and pull the trigger, then obviously, that was the prediction. I was suppose to die from a gun bullet to the head. It contradicts itself, yes, but seeing as destiny could not change from the knowledge of unknown events, the contradiction would in turn .. Contradict itself.

You knew you were going to die when you were 80, but you killed yourself when you were 21. Something in the fabric of life and death must have changed because the honest truth is that you were suppose to die when you were 21, and not when you were 80.

In that case, no given information is 100% right .. Only events written in unwritten records and recorded over unrecorded tapes.

However..
I would love to know when I died. Like many others said, I would be able to pursue the many things that I have to offer and give to this life before I die. There may be the essence of a mental illness in the core, but come on .. Who hasn't thought about going on a killing spree before they died?

I personally wouldn't want to find out when I die.

As it's been said before, I want my death to come with a bang, I love suprises, I hate it when people ruin it. If I got told I was going to die in 3 years, Knowing me I would be worrying and depressed and thinking how it would happen.

Stressing over the date of your death, to me, should only make death sooner for you! Noone should .. Ever!

 

The ultimate structure of the universe is fixed and unmoving. To be able to change it would require an outside power to convey information about the future to your present self, which, by the very act of affecting your thoughts, would change the structure of the universe. This information, once conveyed, would change everything. You would no longer be guaranteed to die at the same time.

 

although the idea of knowing when you will die is impossible, i think it might be cool to know how old i will be but not the exact date and stuff then you will just freak out and like kill people cause you are gonna die and such

Well if you find out that your going to die at that time, techinically shooting youself wouldn't stop it. You'd be like one of those people on Opera that failed suicide (how depressing is it to FAIL suicide lol?)

 

I would definatly love to know when i would die. Therefore if i knew when i was going to die i could make my life the best before that time.

I wouldn't like to know..I'm not going to go into full on smart talk like Shredder but in my opinion..if we knew when we were going to die "at the time we found out" all would be changed in the future and it would change our living time..unless it was a truely ultimate machine.

and i don't think anyone would kill themselves just to "test" if the date they're suppose to die in is accurate.

 

Well i think some people would go mad and be crazy but sometimes i want to know if its gonna be a long time here or not
