Help please!!! Can someone hack if they know your ip??

Hello im just a bit worried now can someone hack you if they know your ip?

 

No. The most they can do is DoS you, and that could take a while.

Just to answer your question, you cannot be hacked by just knowing your IP and nothing else.

By the way, I now know your IP address. (Look at my sig)

 

well the reason why im asking cause someone went on my rs account... and im worried if they know the ip then they might hack me... can they hack me if they know my ip in runescape the one where you log in the first screen you see where it says click here to play??? Thanks for you quick response.

 

Do not worry, you are safe, in a sense. Your IP cannot be figured out just by logging into Runescape, because as far as I know, Runescape does not make your IP available to the public, or even the users/moderators.

However, if your account was hacked, that is another thing. The person may have hacked your account through keylogging, or through previously hacking your computer. If that's the case, i cannot help you.
