hey guys i keep seeing all ur guys pics of desktops and i see the new windows with the black at the bottom and it looks so cool( most likly the most recent windows) but yea it looks all futuristic and everything so i want it

can any1 hook me up with a link or explain how i can get it

You could just patch the uxtheme.dll file, which is free and easy to do. Also saves clogging up your computer with memory-hogging software like Windowblinds.

Patching your uxtheme.dll will allow you to use custom visual styles, available in many places on the internet. I recommend using DeviantART for great, professionally made visual styles.

well anyway, DO NOT install any program that changes the default theme. Your computer will have at least 2 themes by default (XP). The green and blue theme, and windows classic. It is possible to download themes that windows can read by itself, without patching the uxtheme.dll file.

Like you can add the media center edition of XP as the theme for Xp without 3rd party software.

I once installed windowblinds a couple months before the final release of vista was released, it added the mouse, the loaded, welcome screen, everything. It was basically vista except for the actually updated OS, which just plain and simple fucked up my computer so I had to restore an image file back to a couple months ago. I think my boot time was around 12 minutes.
