Can anyone help?

Ok im trying to make a login system, i spent ages on what i have so far even though its only 4kb big LOL.


Anyway when i register a username and try to login, it says invalid even though i just registered it. Also i want more than 1 user to be able to register but i have no idea how to it (when u register it just declares the variables 'username' & 'password' accordingly). So if someone could help with that as well that would be really appreciated..

Ok, it's against the rules to post Source, so you might want to remove that link. I'd help but I can't post source either, so just wait for a Mod or a VB Programmer to come in a help. Sorry I couldn't be anymore help.

 

EDIT: Urg, horrible system is horrible.

I whipped up a semi-basic login system for you. (its attached)
Jazz's will no doubt be more "secure" then what i just posted. So you might wanna wait until he posts also.

"SaveSetting" is the inbuilt function to save a string to the registry.
The "Trim()" function trims the space characters from the left and right side of the given string.
The "Len()" function counts how many characters are in the given string.
The peice of code that you posted above that you said "makes absolutely no sense to you", is a peice of code that wasn't written by me (as i said in my project code). But it basically decrypts the given string.

is the pretty much the same as doing:

If txtUsername.Text = "" or txtPassword.Text = "" Then

But using "Len()" uses less resources on the computer and is also faster.
