Overwatch losing its touch?

Is overwatch losing its touch? It was super hyped and popular last year and the year before but it seems like it’s losing its touch. If you think it is, why?

 

yeah because new games are releasing that are better then a stupid 5v5 game where tanks are op.

 

Ah okay. Yeah tanks were strong as hell whenever I played overwatch a while ago, I’m guessing they never issued any nerfs?

 

they did, but they keep messing up the game. and to be honest, the only reason the game even got "popular" was because of streamers such as Lirik playing the game.

 

I don't think it's got much replay ability, if more heroes were added I'd probably get back into it.

 

it got boring very quick, i expected it to become as big as league but yeah, no way jose.

 

I really enjoyed it at first for the same reasons why I really enjoyed playing TF2. It's just a goofy / whacky / fun FPS, and you could really have a lot of fun trying to pull off some random cheese comp with your friends. As the game grew older, the game moved towards separating the competitive / casual crowd and it just lost its appeal to me. It wasn't a game that I wanted to take seriously, and I think the gameplay is a bit too chaotic to really follow for the casual viewer like myself.

 

I just started playing for the past week or two. I find the game fun and I'm trying to master becoming a DPS main. I love climbing in competitive despite the occasional trolls, AFKs and leavers.

One thing that I noticed could get old however is the fact that there doesn't seem to be much of a reward system for playing. Yeah golden guns are cool and everything but for players that have been playing since release, many have almost/all of the golden guns unlocked.

When playing in competitive, I also noticed that this game can tilt people/teams very easily. If a team gets stomped while escorting a payload in the first round, many players are quick to give up and not play to their fullest potential in the next round. They get tilted and start pointing their fingers at their teammates since that's the easier thing to do.

The game really has room for growth, and I wish balance patches and such became more frequent on Blizzard's end. To my understanding (I've only been playing a week or two), Junkrat and Mercy have been busted for a couple of months before Blizzard finally toned them down some (especially Mercy).

 

i try to grind on this game i just cant sure its fun to have like 1-2 games but the ranking is so boring in it and the gameplay just its not a game u can sit on all day like dota / lol it was actually fun the first time it came out but now u got idiots who play it and just afk or hunt kills only in an objective game... makes it boring

 

got up to lv 30-40 then quit it, got bored of every character already, knew all the maps, nothing new to discover anymore, everything just went on repeat

 

one major thing is mercy, people say she requires no skill, yes she does. she has to manage 5+ people with full health while they complain and she's one of the main targets in battle.
i personally think the next is there events, i think there skins and designs are adapting too much to there other games which i personally dont like comparing events this year to last year ones.

I was thinking of starting to play overwatch again

 

overwatch good game u can stop playing it but after couple weeks when u gonna be boring, you can play again.

 

Season 11 can make or break Overwatch with all of the ranked changes imo.

I stopped playing for ages and now recently got back into it a month or so ago. I only play comp so it's "less boring" for me. It is annoying though when you get throwers on your team but there is less of that now from what I've experienced.

 

It's alright. I get win traders on my comp teams most of the time now.

 

As with a lot of new hit games coming out people seem to think they're the next league or Dota as in they'll last forever

Overwatch is slowly dying
Fornite is too
I'd imagine in a year or two either a major update will happen, the games will die, or a new game will take over their place

 

i still enjoy it buy yeah its slowly dyingg
