Green Phat Jacked

Hey guys, about a year ago, my green phat got jacked... And I would just like to know how it possibly happened.

I NEVER downloaded any exe's
NEVER gave my pass out (cept that one time this website offered to get me free stuff.....) jk lol
NEVER posted pics with IP

any ideas?

Have you got any 'friends' that come over and play on your computer, that also play RS? They could have put a keylogger on your PC, and then later just took it when you were wearing it. Also, they may have just looked at the keyboard as you were typing it in, which probably makes more sense.

My password was runescapeowns.... I dunno how someone guessed it... Lol jk no, no one would EVER have it in their cracker list

 

you had easy to guess recovs? were they just regular words or had numbers too?

1. Most likely would be you signed up somewhere, and the database was either stolen, or the passwords were cracked by the owner.

2. A password cracker. Don't doubt the power of them, i've seen a 60GB password list. Yeah, thats a 60gig TEXT file.

3. One of your friends keylogged you, or you signed in at a library or shared computer and it was keylogged.

And there you have it. Failure.

I would guess runescapeowns was too easy to guess, I even had that as one of my passwords on one of my bot skiller accounts...

 

runescapeowns is a fucking easy password, i have seen similar in pass lists multiple times before

 

60GB :O! Wowzaa.. Also another thing that could have happened was if you played any private server and then they asked you what your RS name was so they could "talk to you." But did you use the same password for all of your accounts and logons?

 

Fuck. I made a 3GB one. But 60GB. Thats like half my hard drive.

 

I couldn't even fit the whole thing on my computer as is with it being 60 full already, besides I am curious to how anyone would get that many..Also I thought of something else did you ever download programs from friends, no specfically .exe's

 

Did any friends on RS ask you for info. Ex. where you live? favorite things? i have been hacked many times for simply answering simple questions. unaware that they were my recovery questions, just worded differently...

 

That is why when you make your recovery questions you make sure they aren't actually related to the real answer such as Where were you born? You would say dfain43ifn239wedvm4 not.. California. Just common sense.
