Eric, run that Visual Studio setup file again, the one that you used to install VB6. One of the additional programs to install was Visual C++.

 

Yeah, but chances are that doesn't include the Visual C++ setup files. Those VB6 installers in the VB forum stickies don't include the rest of Visual Studio, though they have the setup option for them. Download Visual C++ 2008 Express from the MSDN website.

The whole Visual Studio 6.0 suite is widely available on most torrent sites, but pirating copyrighted material is for mean, stupid, ugly copyright infringement committing criminals.

 

He got a link to the Visual Studio 6.0 Setup files and it included Visual C++. I saw it with my own eyes! :O

 

I'm going by what I've noticed about the numerous "VB6 DOWNLOAD!!!" stickies I've seen in the VB forum over the years.

 

Edit: SMR was right. It doesn't include the setup files for it >_<

 

Use bittorrent, or use the GCC port.

 

MSVC++ Express is free, you can download it at Microsoft.
