Runescape Hacking

Hello,

Some of you may already know me as the founder / vice chairman of b0ts, some of you may know me as the Gunz The Duel hacker, some may know me as the coder of the Open Source ZeroX Server Emulator ( http://www.b0ts.org/zerox/src ), and then again some of you may not know me at all. I did have another account here, but I don't think the admins wanted to change my username. So I had made a new username.

I don't know if anyone has ever done this before, don't care, honestly. I was asked by a bunch of people to try and hack RuneScape and not Gunz, so I gave it a try.

I won't even consider believing it until I see a video. To be honest, if he made anything it's probably a kind of client-side Artmoney for your hitpoints. Interesting, but not exactly "hacking".

 

I don't really care weather you or any believes I am. I'm not trying to say "Omg im ub3r l33t h4x0r". I was just asked to give runescape a try by a few friends, and I came along with this. I don't event know what's been done on RuneScape already and I don't know what hasn't been done. I'm just showing you what I did.

He is just using a memory editor to change his hitpoints to 0.

As an explanation of the no-walls in the video this is the effect of changing a part of a deobfuscation, I've also done it myself before and it is simply a graphical change and doesn't effect your abilities at all.

 

Actually, it's a connection hook, and the socket is run through proxy, and that's where the network interception happens. When you log in, server sends the handshake, used to decrypt the packets, that's when you recv the client information, (Levels, X Position, Y Position, floor, etc). Then a series of pointers which point to the applet, and if you dump the memory, you can find the different areas where the same pointer (floor level) is checked, for example,

This way, you are always there, and can interact with NPC both from bottom floor, and top floor.

I know nothing about hacking, but I thought it was physically impossible to decrypt the runescape packets, then send back new packets. If it were possible, it seems there would be thousands of hackers-- then again, I said I don't know anything.

That last post made me start to believe this; you seem pretty knowledgeable.
