WoW or OSRS?

So I've played Runescape for 12+ years now.....
To be honest,and please don't take a piss out of me,I'm kind of depressed everytime I play it,
Its probably because all my childhood memories,gaming sessions with my friends,long night staying up days got stuck up in my head...
I can have 2B I'll just get bored and stake it away,what im trying to say is no matter how much money I have i just dont find it fun anymore,i go pvp all these 11 yr old kids are rushing,flaming,spec teleporting,wildy is dry 90% of the times...
Also I've never been that type of person to click trees for 20 hours to level up 2 times,legit i'd make more cutting trees irl in those 20 hours then waste my time,
on the other hand theres botting,which doesnt count for me because i get banned sooner or later
I'm 22 now so i feel like im getting too old for runescape and the grind just not necessary, think most people my age overgrow RS.

I do still however have my old WoW Account I subscribed to its still paying so I'm ready to play anytime,
I haven't ever gotten over level 20 on WoW,so i don't really know much about the game....

My question for you guys in 2018 is OSRS or WoW?
Is it even worth playing games at my age or am i just wasting time and cash?
Which one has more active players,helpful people,communicative playerbase,multi person tasks,grinding?
Something that I could have fun on and not think that I'm wasting my time just grinding for nothing..
Also whichever you choose please give me a reason why it's better.

You are never too old to game!
Also, don't compare the games like that, they are two very different games. Play what you enjoy.

 

People mainly play WoW when the new patches come out then go inactive again, if their player base don’t even play year round I wouldn’t suggest a new player starting up

I’d keep with OSRS or even try a new type of game, League of Legends is great, Fortnite is awesome, and they’re both free

I think a lot of us on here are biased, as Sythe was/is majorly dominated by RS players.

I have been where you are. I restarted my RS career because I realized there was SO much that I hadn’t done.
I’m not saying this is the right thing for you to do. It’s just what I did.

Do as Fast Coins said, play what you like.
If you started playing wow again and really enjoyed it, then that’s what you should do

Or try other games!

I also feel rs is too grindy for someone that has a kid,house to pay,bills etc just wasting too much time and i aint making no money especially if i want to enjoy the game,especially skills 70-99 the grind is just unreal

 

I have two kids and one on the way
Happily married and own my own business.
I just play in the evenings and weekends

And I have yet to do things
like raids/pet chasing/all quests and diaries, etc.

Oh. Yeah I think that's a whole different scenario. I have never played RS for financial gain.
All the accounts I sell are used to fund my in game experience.

OSRS probs, wow is just shit imo.

 

it aint that bad,i've actually started to play it and i love it it is quite dead maybe i'm on a dead realm but other then that its pretty cool

 

It's just the same stuff over and over, you do battles but don't get anything from it, you do pvm to get stuff.

But rs is the same tbh you spend 20$ to buy sharks and karambwaans to probably lose it all in 2 hours of pking with almost no profit

 

I smited 4 d claws and 7 ags's in like 2 hours of pking on 07 with my maxed 60 atk pure, just gotta learn how to smite people, although I do have to admit that claws do help allot with smiting. There's just a small secret you'll have to figure out yourself before you become a good smiter

World of Warcraft is the best mmo by far atm.

- How you use your abilities and in which order matters. There are sites like warcraftlogs.com where you can upload your logs and it will give you a percentile rank for your class. The higher rank the better, if you become really good and can get a lot of 99 percentile parses (performing better than 99% of whichever class you decide to play) you can easily get into a top mythic raiding guild.

- Each class in wow has a completely different playstyle and brings something unique to your group so your dungeon and raid compositions actually matter. Certain classes can deal the most damage to a boss since they excel at single target sustain damage at the cost of losing multi target cleave, while other classes will deal more damage overall in an encounter because they have insane burst cleave on a short cooldown, at the cost of dealing lower sustained single target damage. This also applies to tanks and healers since they heal and mitigate damage differently. Since mythic+ is timed you will have to learn a lot about various classes, what they're capable of, and make a logical choice in which classes you bring to counter specific packs of adds and bosses which are different for each dungeon and raid.

- Knowledge of the encounter is extremely important for every role. As a damage dealer you will typically use your burst cooldowns as soon as they are available again, however you can take advantage of certain boss mechanics and timings by saving your burst if you know the boss will be vulnerable soon or you know that adds will spawn soon. This applies to healers and tanks as well since there will be ability overlaps where the boss will deal much more damage, so you will typically save defensive and healing cooldowns for these situations.

- Each class and spec has a different stat priority so learning which stats are best is very important since you would be able to find out which mythic+ dungeons you need to farm to get your best in slot items. Healers need to farm the cloak from karazan that increases critical healing by 5%, fury warriors farm the ring from court of stars that increases auto attack damage by 10%, most leather classes that use mastery farm the boots and gloves from court of stars and arcway that have a chance to give 3000 mastery for 15 seconds, etc.

- There is a lot of content outside of legion dungeon and raids. Legion questing is actually a lot of fun since story chapters were added (There are 5 chapters in Azsuna, 7 chapters in Val'sharah, 7 chapters in Highmountain, 8 chapters in Stormheim, 11 chapters in Suramar (the best zone for lore and it also gives a lot of artifact power), 15 chapters in the Broken shore, and 3 chapters in Argus. You can complete your class artifact challenges. You can farm legacy raids and dungeons for transmog items and epic mounts. You can PVP - there are casual and ranked modes with leaderboards and achievements. You can farm rare mobs and loot chests on argus for 880 ilvl items, 910 ilvl items, rare epic mounts, legendary items, and artifact power. You can try completing all the achievements ingame (there are 5719 in total)

- Since endgame content is actually hard selling accounts and offering boosting services is very profitable once you become good at the game. People will pay $20 for you to complete their artifact challenge for them (think of it as a fcape in osrs) except it only takes around 5-7 minutes from start to finish. You can sell mythic+ boost runs for $10-40 per run and they only take 30-40 minutes. You can sell heroic raid clears/loot runs for $100-200 and they only take 1 hour. If you get mythic raids on farm there are people that will pay $600-1000 per loot run. When you get bored or want to reroll a different class you can sell your character (one mythic geared character will easily sell for $500-800, titles, mounts, achievements, etc will only increase the value of the character from this point)

I could go on but at this point it's safe to assume that anyone who complains that wow has "no content" or "isn't profitable" is actually retarded.
