Alas, you may be wrong. If a supreme form of intelligence (alien) were to be alive today, don't you think their weapons and technology would rape ours? Of course, they don't know that our technology is weak, because they've never tried to come to us. Now, do you doubt that they would not know what our technology is, and even though known to us that theirs is better, be oblivious to that fact and want to try ours out?

Their things are better, but they don't know it .. Come on. Unless, of course, they DO have their people on Earth faking to be a human .. :]

Unfortunately you did not comprehend my post at all. The chances of the aliens being within the distance to reach us is incredibly small. The chances of them having zumg super-advanced technology (And therefore a planet capable not only of supporting life, but of supporting massive industrialisation) is next to nil. Now add motivation to visit us to the mix, along with understanding that we are intelligent life, and the ability to recognise us from each other (You think an alien will believe that a black man and a white man are the same species?), and the chances get so close to zero you look like a joke.

Oh, I comprehended and understood it very well. I see what you're saying, but I disagree on some points. Not understanding my argument would be quite ignorant, however, I do not think that of you, so I will not think that of this post. However, you do fail to see where I'm coming from, and how i'm presenting it. You can't .. well, you could. Okay, you have the will to believe that aliens may be so far away and have/have not this advanced technology, but comparing to Earth, which also supports life, we SUCK.

If they are out there, the chance that they may be far away does not prove, nor does it give reliable claim, that they are or are not super advanced.

    You're saying that I look like a joke? :[

While you have rights to press and type, I would ask you not to bring race into my discussion, as to refuse all hostile conversation. :]

If there were aliens, they might be different life forms, they would maybe not have to live on air for example, if they ever come i want them to land in my back yard first ;D

i wonder if they have super powers and all like shooting lasers or something, they might not even look like an alien, big heads skinny as hell, but to get to another galaxy would take for ever, since it just takes 4 billion light years to get to the closest star, and the sun would only be alive for another 5.5 billion years, so there is a chance we may never know, unless they come to us first.

Hmm, that's a good guess for all, I suppose ..

I thought the Sun was going to run out in 3 billion ?
Maybe I was misled, but okay! :]

Actually its only 80,000 light years to Sagittarius, the closest galaxy. The closest star is like 4 light years away. Which is still, for any practical purpose, impossible to get there. If you look at the facts, its impossible for any aliens to have ever visited earth.

Ughh .. Okay, think about it ..

If an alien never visited Earth, how would someone know it were impossible?

were both wrong the closest star is!!
Our Sun is the closest star at 93 million miles distance.

Forgot about the flaming piece of shit....
but ne ways yea 4.27 light years away so thats like 50+ trillion miles, holy god.

Pure logic, Its impossible to even go even a fraction of the speed of light. So for an alien to get to earth they would have to travel for thousands of years, assuming the closest star at 4 light years away has intelligent life.

Do you really think aliens would travel for thousands of years to reach us?

    Again, of course, pure logic.

Now tell me, since obviously, I am being proven wrong ..
The only reason humans think that it is impossible to go the speed of light is because they've never gone the speed of light. If it were impossible to go the speed of light, the speed of light wouldn't be that speed. It isn't impossible. It just has never happened.

Also, you said it was impossible to go a fraction of the speed of light? As in .. 1/186,000 MPS? So, when a cat runs in the street, it isn't going an extremely small fraction of a very high speed, eg the speed of light? When you move, you're going a fraction of the speed of light ..

If aliens have NEVER gone thousands of years to reach us, the answer to that question remains unknown. Probably. Probably not .. That statement was a failure if you were trying to make a point ..

Considering the formidable amount of suns in the universe, And based upon that earth was created from a nova'd star, it is entirely possible that there are other beings of life in the universe.

I believe we've established the amount of plasma balls in the universe, but thanks for the input!

I thought Earth was made from many large rocks hitting and sticking to each other, the center rock containing much magma and elements in it's core? At least, that's what I got from the History channel ..

I don't believe Earth was formed from the Supernova itself ..

    :]

There is no element that would stay together going that fast. Any vehicle you're in would be torn apart. You would also need an infinite amount of power to go the speed of light, which is impossible to produce.

We have mass, light doesn't(not that you can really measure anyway). Mass increases proportionally, So as we speed up to the speed of light your mass would become infinite, and you would become a black hole, Its actually pretty cool.

You're just using a technicality, I meant for us its impossible to go even 1/100th of the speed of light, before were torn apart. You should have known what I meant by that.

I'm just going off common sense, I know I wouldn't spend my entire life and my children's lives's and their children's lives's, just so I could meant some primitive beings. They could communicate via radio waves, and use amazingly powerful telescopes to see our planet.

As a point you made in an earlier post, I believe, aliens may have extremely powerful technology. Technology powerful enough to were it could somehow defeat the purpose of mass, or volume, or any element that could affect travel rate. Since light doesn't have any known mass, any alien with that kind of technology could be free to travel anywhere at any speed with no worries of becoming disembodied ..

Who ever proved that aliens used vehicles to travel? (Think about it ...)

Yes, I understood, vaguely, what you meant, but i'm not a mind reader ..

You, however, are not an alien, nor do you think like one .. Atleast , I doubt it .. But, I see what you mean, anyways! :]

    ---

You have interesting points, but there are plenty of ways to get around those, and if aliens have truthfully kept their reputation for advanced technology, they could get around them, as well .. :]

Its very ignorent to think that out of all of the galexies that we are the only one that has life on it. Aliens could be somewere else but not be anything like us, therefore they could have greater technology. They could have different elements and be in different shape\form with different internal body organs that can withstand more than us, you have to open your minds people.
