Computer randomly stopping?

do these three hopefully the windows updates will solve the network card problem

Windows Updates:
Start | Programs | Windows Updates |
Click Custom. Check all High Priority, Software, Hardware. Install Updates
What it does: Updates your computers drivers and operating system.

Check Disk:
Start | Run | cmd | type "chkdsk /f" then "y" and restart your computer.
What it does: Searches your hard drive for damaged clusters.

System File Checker:
Insert your installation CD, Start | Run | cmd | type "sfc /scannow"
What it does: Scans your computer for corrupted operating systems files and fixes them.

 

1, cannot do Windows updates as for my laptop wont connect to the internet,
2, Chkdsk is not recognised.
3, I'll have to do the Installation disk later,

 

hmm reinstalling the OS isent going to give it internet. Do you happen to have the CD that came with the computer it should have all the drivers there, install them.

Wtp, Thankyou so much man. I turned on my computer, It did a disk check, fixed up the virus My wireless card is working, the internet is working, the 'Install network controller' hasnt come back. I thank you so much.

unplug ur internet or wireless network card and check if its someone remotely controlling ur comp.
