You can try using Wine, but we are not sure how well it will work.

Ah bummer!
Yes, we have looked into building our products to be used on multiple OS platforms, but are having a bit of difficulty in finding compatible libraries for each. Our main problem at the moment is finding a library (in any language, though, we haven't looked further than C++ and Java) is replacing the windows.h file that is used in our programs. Once we find a suitable library(s) that allow our programs to run as expected, we will integrate them into our code and begin testing.

I'm a developer by trade and can do some research for ya if you'd like. Windows.h api is native to windows (obviously) however I'm sure a lot of the functions and code can be implemented using other languages. Go might be a suitable alternative. It would call for some rewriting of the application but maybe could benefit your userbase albeit there are probably a marginal amount of linux/mac users on here.

Awesome! We have been looking into a few alternatives to C++ and may have found a few solutions utilizing Python. However, having never dealt with Python, it will be a slight learning curve. Something like this is what we are thinking of implementing:
