You know the United States is the wealthiest country in the World right? And you know that no single person can change the entire government overnight. People criticize the United States government like we can change what's happening.

If we wanted to change pollution/smog/etc, we would never be able to. There will always be that jackass that doesn't care. I'm saying I care about our country, but I'm 16 years old, and I can't do anything about it.

There's no point in telling me/this community that our Government is a failure, when clearly, we are the most powerful/wealthiest country in the World. Most of this community is under 18, and cannot vote for changes to be made.

WE did not decide for George W. Bush to go invade Iraq for absolutely no reason. There is no progress in blaming it on us, the people who had no say, no vote in it. Bush went to Congress, and asked for a Declaration of War. You should criticize those people, and not us.

I don't mean to pick you out Sythe, but you have such a pessimistic opinion of our country, and completely close-minded. I'm sorry but I don't agree with you.

I agree with almost everything you said. The only disagreement being, in 10-20 years, I can't see America as big of a world power as it is now. Atleast not on the path the government is taking.

If that's not enough, then how about the Clinton's funds for their campaigns. Did you know that Bill Clinton was on a BS administrative board in Dubai and he all of the sudden "decided to retire"? Then as a "gift" he receives a check for $20M. Thats all fine and dandy until this check for $20M has $12M of it diverted to Hillary's campain funds, highly illegal to get funding from a foreign state.

The only reason you and half the population of the USA believe such bullshit is because CNN and other biased networks say so. Never listen to anything they say, they always put some degree of spin on it, or they don't present the whole truth or anything that may smudge the appearence of their favorite candidate.

If that's not enough cause to change your opinion, then I don't know what else I can say. This is from some brief research, look into it, you'll find some immensly ruthless information on those scoundrals.

 

I like both McCain and Obama. NOT Hillary. I am moderate and did not follow the elections at all this year so far, so i like McCain and Obama because they seem like likeable people. I honestly dont care who wins, as long as its NOT Hillary...

I see a lot of people on here supporting candidates based on their personality and looks, this is where democracy fails.

 

Learn the correct terminology before posting. The USA doesn't have a "democracy". A democracy is a system where everyone votes directly for the president. We have a republic. This is where elected officials vote for their respective voters.

 

Sorry for not being specific, what I meant to say is representative democracy. No, democracy is a system ruled by the people, direct democracy and representative democracy aka democratic republic are the two types of democracy. Direct democracy is where everyone votes directly for the president. And representative democracy is where people elect officials to vote for the leaders. Representative democracy and republics overlap so they are very similar. So stop trying to act like a smartass when you don't know shit yourself.
