Second RWT ban on a maxed rental account in the last 30 days. I've been renting occasionally for well over a year and these are the only two occurrences of a ban.

It appears along with the proposed duel arena changes announced a month ago, Jagex is finally starting to crack down on RWT activities?

It's almost impossible to regulate what people do on the account, although I can say with near certainty that the account was always at duel arena. I'm assuming the constant 100ms+ being traded back and forth led to the ban.

 

Holy shit, this is definitely scary.
It might just be because of the fact different ip logs on then money is traded but also a lot of false macroing bans have been going round so it might of been the same situation?

 

or someone used the account to sell gold on it while its rented via staking method you cant really keep track on what their doing all the time

Renting is very risky nowadays as broken man said imagine you are renting 6 times a day that means different mac adress and different ip adress everytime when new customer uses it. For Jagex it is as easy as a pie to monitore all these activities.

As most have said, maybe the constant changing of I.P's and MAC address's, locations and what not maybe flagged it off. Obviously Jagex would know by now how much you can make from lending accounts to RWT in the duel arena, so maybe they're cracking down on accounts being used in that fashion?

I mean, if used a joint account with friends for years but because none of us RWT'd, or continuously traded over large amounts of money nothing has ever happened to it. So maybe it has nothing to do with continuous logins but more to the fact that the account is specifically based at duel arena, and the cash is ultimately ending up in a known gold seller or something.


Still sucks though man. There goes my idea of creating a max combat account to rent.

 

It'd almost certainly be because of Return of the Wilderness constantly posting maxed main rental videos which are linked to scams.

Everyone of his accounts is watched like a hawk so I'm sure they've decided to give some extra attention to maxed main rentals.

Ban rates should die down as he moves on to scamming people in other ways.

 

Just two in 30 days? I've lost 10+. I would jump for joy if I could only lose 2 a month.

I've lost over 50 max mains in the past 3 years of renting alone, this is not something new.

 

I think they're starting to crack down. You can blame all the scammers for that one imo.

 

Can confirm I also lost my max staker after renting it out..

I rented to 2 people, 1 of which used it 5+ times was from the same state in the same country as me.

The other was from a different country but only used it for 1 hour.

I sat at Duel Arena the entire time to watch over them and can confirm that neither left the duel arena and unless they were incredibly sneaky did not RWT on it either.

I have no idea what triggered the ban
