    When eating out

I have this extreme “tick” if you will, not exactly sure if that’s what you’d call it, however; I HATE inconveniencing people out in public. Like if my kids and I are walking through a grocery store and I feel someone walking behind us, if I feel like I am obstructing their ability to navigate through the store, I go into hyper gear to get myself and my family out of the way, in fear of inconveniencing that person.
This is just one of MANY scenario’s I deal with, which leads me to the topic.

When you’re at a restaurant and your order something off of the menu & it comes out looking less desirable than you anticipated or isn’t as good as you’d like.
Are you someone to send it back
Or do you scratch it up as a bad experience, eat, pay (still tip well) & leave?

I’m on the ladder end of the spectrum.
The food has to be literally unbearable for me to send it back.

Let me know how you are in this scenario.

    That's a good question.

I think for myself personally I know I'm a well honest person and I'm up front and honest about things, but I do find myself most times just letting it blow over as a bad experience. I mean I've always told myself if the food is honestly THAT bad I will speak up about and have it sent back, I mean I'm there to be provided a service and a service in which is supposed to be to a certain level, so if I'm not receiving to that or near that level then I'm going to say something about it, but I'm quite a respectful person in which I do find pestering people about stuff like in a scenario like this can be quite stressful for both myself and the waitress serving me, so I tend to most times just leave it alone.

Again, it's hit and miss for me. I can say for sure if the meal I was paying for was like $50 and it comes out looking/tasting like shit, you bet your sweet ass I'm going to flip the tables and be throwing salt around (no pun intended - or maybe it was?) but if I'm at McDonalds getting a $10 Big Mac meal and it's half ass, then I'm just going to eat it and walk out and possibly just talk some shit about how I'm never going to that outlet ever again. :)

TLDR; yes and no for me, just depends on the circumstances, the mood I'm in, etc.

I’m honestly the same way. If it doesn’t come out burnt or with bugs on it then I’ll still eat it. I also hate bothering people and feeling like an inconvenience as well.

    Great response.
Glad to see I’m not alone in this one.
I’m with you on the Big Mac scenario.
It’s kind of a “You get what you pay for” scenario.

    Yup.
    That’s me to a T.
Had a pretty bad waiter yesterday, but she was polite so I still tipped 20%, regardless of the fact she didn’t really “wait” on my at all.
Ie: didn’t clear any dishes the entire time we were there or come back after food was served

I have little things like this also, I am pretty sure you could label it anxiety. Everyone experiences anxiety in some respect, most people won't even recognise it as so.

Yeah, crazy as I have never looked at it that way.
    You're correct though.

    Haha.

Not sure, I wouldn't say so.
I do door to door sales as a career and have for years.
So I don't have social anxiety in that sense. Maybe in other area's though.
Haha now you know, there are other crazies out there!

Only time I send something back is if it wasn't my order or if it was pretty incomplete. I'm in the same boat as you, just feel like a jerk if I send things back.

I'm forever sending shit back because it's wrong or if it's got shit on it I can't eat.

If it's a crap meal, I don't tend to complain, I just fuck off home and never go back there.

I simply make a mental note not to eat their ever again. I would never say anything unless it was truly unacceptable. The thing about inconveniencing others I do to a less extreme. I think it might just be an introverted thing though. =/

It’s weird though, because I am an extrovert. I believe
I do door to door sales as a living, always talking to people, cold calling, etc. So I am not an introvert in that sense.
