It's not just being a newcomer, apologies for not making this clear.
In order to push up the price you would need to be "trusted" - as in: be active in the community, have vouches spanning over a decent period of time, donate etc etc

Pures with 99 agility and 90+ combat stats can go for up to 300-400m+

The most trusted people are for example, (ex) staff, website owners, people with $100k+ vouched, people with 5+year old sythe accounts

This guys' accounts are way overpriced imo but just check his prices out
(bearing in mind osrs gp = 0.8 usd so $400 is 500m)
