That IS evidence. I've read many, many books about the history of the Bible, Christianity, churches and Christian rulers in the Middle Ages, and the Roman Catholic Church. What I was trying to prove here, is that previous political and religious leaders have tried to change people's beliefs into something more convenient for them by ordering heavy revisions. They had no right to do that then because the Bible was said to be the original, sacred word of our lord. The Bible is a collection of books of the canonical religious writings of Judaism and of Christianity, first being perceived to the messengers of God. It is a guide to life, filled with many stories of those before us, to teach us moral values, from what is right and what is wrong.

If Atheism is true, then there is no ultimate point. However, do I need a God to give me a point? Is my life completely meaningless and not worth living unless some being tells me that the opposite is true?

It used to, but I guess I've grown used to it. I don't think the level of fear an idea produces is a valid indicator of how logically sound it is, however.

Mcadude, what I'm gathering from you is that you are unsure and thus scared of what comes next. To suppliment your fears you choose to believe in something comforting, so comforting that you are blinded by its very logic. Life is essentially meaningless. Think about it long and hard, either realize the truth behind it and accept it and live out your life to its fullest or continue to think there is something more and live in a cloud of ignorance that most people choose. The choice it yours, all in all it really makes no differance what you think in the end.

Maybe I'm blind, deaf, etc but I seem to see more threads of that sort coming from religious people. Athiesm/agnostics etc have scientific proof (theories, excuse me) and logic to back up their claims. To my knowledge Christians have well, umm faith. But please oh PLEASE give me some sort of proof that mankind was created 4-10 thousand years ago along with everything else by some sort of unseen, unheard being.
