Okay, everybody arguing about what is teh best black metal is wrong. There is no such thing as "The Best" black metal, every band has their own sound, if you dont like it, then dont bitch about it. Now, Dimmu Borgir is good black metal in my opinion, but i really only enjoy the pioneers and the pures of black metal. Bands like Marduk, Falkenbach, Ulver, Behemoth, Dethklok, Carpatian Forest, Tsjuder. Those are the pures and the real Black Metal bands. I have been listening to both black metal and death metal for about 5 years now, i enjoy both. But please, enough bitching about who is the best.....
