Ok my question is simply :

Should doctors make more money than atheletes?
    Yes
    No

    If yes, then explain why.
    If no, then explain why.

Ok my choice would have to be No. Why should someone that is throwing a ball make mroe than someone who is saving peoples lives, and making them for the better.

    Simple as that,

To be honest, I feel that doctors should make more than athletes. Doctors are actually doing something worthwhile, saving lives, and improving humanity. Athletes entertain.

However, you can't very well control how much money athletes are paid. If they're paid by a private group, then it is their prerogative to pay as much as they want.

Athletes have to train harder tough, both physically and mentally to get them in their "game tense". Doctors do make more of a difference, but athletes have much higher of a publicity and supporters.

See I don't get why people discuss this. This whole seneria includes almost anyone famous. We give them our money, just think about it. I go to a rock concert, and pay $50 for a ticket. Now there are about another 5000 people who each payed $50 a ticket. Where do you think that money goes, right to people playing the concert(not all of it but most of it). This is why many famous people are rich, because we give them our money.

This going for famous atheletes too. When you put any money into a franchise that money goes to pay the players and the others involved. When you buy a $100 Steve Nash Jersey, where do you think that money goes, mostly to steve nash. When you watch a professional athlete or buy anything that has his name on it, you are giving him money, this is why atheletes make as much as they do.

Think about it this way, Doctors are needed by athletes when they become injured, and a lot of doctors like to be entertained by athletes.

If there were no doctors, athletics wouldn't be as competitive as they are (due to injuries and such). So I think that Doctors SHOULD be payed more money, but It just won't happen because of the people who actually own the teams.

I don't know if that made much sense but, go on it if you want.

Doctors should make more money but think about it if athletes starts getting paid less and less, much less people would think, " I wanna be the next ____ "
So sport itself will die, leaving us with no entertainment.

There are other forms of entertainment apart from sports, you know. Under that logic, I would never be entertained, since I'm not a sports fan.

I see no reason in paying a person $5,000,000 USD a year to throw a football or bounce a basketball. Doctors save lives, and they need to be paid more.
