Um how do i have a positive outlook on life?

Yes, if you have enough toxins they can be deadly.

See, when algae gets enough thickness in the water, it blocks out the sunligh to the things below it. Then it cuts off the oxygen, because it cannot get through the surface. Then the inhabitants that need oxygen to survive die, and that feeds the algal blooms because they also feed on dead stuff, fecal matter and tempature.

If this gets a bigger reach, it could destroy the populations of animals that we know of.

Also, if enough of it gets onto humans, it can kill them.

    It is afterall, a toxin

Ok, so i disproved 3 of your 4 points. I'm still not convinced algal blooms are going to destroy anything from what I've read, but even if they do cause problems your missing my point. GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT HUMAN INDUCED!

its not human induced correct, but we are helping fuel the fire

The "fuel" we are putting in is far less than what we think it is. The effect is to small to even measure. The earth will continue in its trends and more than likely begin cooling withing the next 1000 or so years. There will be another ice age, just as there have been many in the past. Worst case scenario is the earth continues to warm for many years before it cools and we see avg tempatures a max of 5-7 degrees higher than now. We still have 6-9 degrees to go before we reach the average temp of earth 6000 years ago (the atlantic period). The people of that time must have turned out okay, as the human race is doing just fine now.

largest hole by far is above ANTARCTICA, it is roughly the size of north america. This being, after decreasing in size by 30% since we could measure ozone levels. As a matter of fact ozone holes everywhere are shrinking.

...I am an opera singer.. I will sing when you're all dead.

I doubt the human race would die off.. I mean we DO survive in deserts, Antarctica, jungles, and if it got really bad we could just make biospheres. Besides, after it got hot enough, we would have an ice age. It will change the world drastically though I doubt the human race will even come close to dieing out.

Please stop mentioning Al Gore. He is not a climatologist, not a geologist, not any form of scientist. He is a politician. As we know, politicians always tell the truth, and would never exaggerate for political gain.

Global warming is a natural cycle, won't be stopped, and will probably be beneficial. This is just another example of the rich and powerful in this world using fear to hold us back. In fact, the Earth is supposed to cool very very slightly in 2008. (Yes, I know global warming causes weird weather)

Ok, how is it helpful? So raising the oceans waters, and melting habitats for penquins, polar bears, etc is helpful?

    Sorry,

Global Warming - Should we worry about it now?

I see a new version of this thread every week..

No, we shouldn't try to stop it now. Not everybody will conform to new "green" ideas. Not everybody will want to give up their huge suvs and businesses.

The damage that will be done, is done. Its been happening for a long time now and trying to stop it now won't do anything.

Insignificant difference. Even if we COULD stop it, why bother?
