Ratings..

It's fucking horrible.
I go into a thread seeing a horrible signature getting ratings like 7/10 with "yea its pritty good" attached.
This doesn't count as bloody feedback.
Someone tell me how that gets people to improve?
The ONLY people I have seen who make decent feedback for the pastfew months is pure_trainer, xjaa, TDD, and Vision Ex.
If you are going to reply with "7/10 good job" to a crappy as all hell signature, please don't bother. It doesn't help anyone improve. Post something worth while eg. "You need to work on your lighting" or something.
And if you've come from another forum, and never been in here before, don't give immediate feedback to people till you've actually made a few sigs yourself. And don't tell me this doesn't happen because I have seen at least 5 people from the RS forums coming here doing it.

You know, there are a few problems with your complaint. First of all, it is a repetion of other people's complaints in the past. Secondly, and more importantly, you must understand, like the others did not, that one can oonly rate a work properly if they actually know the program, art, trends, and composition well enough to lead you in the right direction. Someone who has less skill than you cannot rate your works in a way that leads you forward. they can only insult your works, or say that they are done well, with no real feedback, or sense of how you got to your product, niether what your intentions were behind making the product.
