Gotta say this is not "new Member" friendly at all...

So I have spent over 2 hours trying to buy gold for rs07. No one will sell to me because I do not have vouches... So if your new to this forum how are you supposed to get vouches if no one will deal with you. I have legit even said ill send the money first and they wouldnt do it.....

Someone please fill me in on what im missing here. isnt $100 a $100? whats with no one wanting your money unless you have a vouch list?

 

Not sure what is with everyone asking for ID either... I Have bought 79 orders from playerauctions no ID, and a few other sites with no ID. I got asked for ID on here a couple times also yesterday trying to buy on here and I was like "Why do they need My ID to buy osrs gold"... It seems fishy. I mean selling rs07 gp is against game rules anyways so whats up with people wanting ID? lol

 

If you're paying via paypal most will ask for ID. If you don't want to show your ID you can use alternative payment methods. Bitcoin is accepted by the majority.

 

Look at it from the seller's side of things. PA and certain Gold Sites charge a premium while accepting PP with no ID to cover for the high fraud rates. They're not here to police in-game rules, they're just protecting themselves.

 

Its new member friendly if the new member is willing to use a non-refundable payment method

 

im not to this site as well, i had zero posts, all i did was use MMOearn or RSGOLDFUND, they dont care if u have sythe account or not

just visit any of the gold selling websites, most use paypal via g2a checkout, select the number of mils in gold, and ur character name, PAY via paypal (verified paypal) and msg the LIVE CHATBOX on the website after payment with order number

they within (1-5min) will tell u what world and where to meet for ur gold

you dont even need a sythe account for all this

 

It is a bit of a pain man. Like everyone says, just use a website. You can find people on Sythe that have websites, that way you can get them to leave a vouch for you on Sythe afterwards hopefully making it a bit easier for the next time.

 

You have made 79 purchases off Playerauctions without ID? Must be all under $50 or what?

 

Nobody wants to buy from a new user paying with PayPal simply because there is the risk of charge back. If you were vouched to have used PayPal before, users would be more willing to work with you. Just simply how it goes. Most Gold sites don't ask for ID and will let you use PayPal, but won't get the best rates.

OP. it's hard for people to accept PP from new members because a large amount will scam by chargeback. I've had 95% of the people I've allowed to use PayPal for my services chargeback.

 

A lot of people wont sell to you because of the risk of charge back for PP, use bitcoin or I suggest rsgoldmine.com

What baffles me even more about his statement is this: Why come to Sythe to purchase GP when you've bought on PA 79 times without any issues??

The site is very welcoming to new people, it's just over the years of this site being up there's been plenty of scams and people just have a bad taste about trading with newcomers who don't have any legitimacy behind them on their sales. A few good vouches and a hefty donation to the site can make a whole difference in things though for people wanting to trade with you.

No one wants to waste time on a newcomer who's only intentions are to make a quick buck from scamming.

I'm still very new to this site (no this isn't my only account) and I'm still learning the ropes but it's not hard for people to realise this site is actually amazing and filled with heaps of awesome people who actually do in fact welcome new people to the site very well. I mean I've seen multiple discussions about how the whole community is wanting more and more new people to join to Sythe and help keep it alive, so that's saying something.

But it's obvious from the scam report section just how many people do in fact scam on the daily. It's very easy for people to misjudge people based on the fact they're new to the site because people are so used to seeing reports up and people banned. It's just the way it is with forums like these. But there's a huge difference between joining the site, complaining because no one will trade you, and joining, staying around for a bit, getting to know the community, maybe even donating a bit, or at least building up some reputation or vouches to help you out on a big sale/buy.
