My internet Speed WTFUX?

Yet my download speed is always under 24kb's

 

I wasn't asking for your btw, Can anyone explain why my download speed is only 25kb/sec

 

What type of connection do you have?

Dial-up?
Broadband?

And also, who is your ISP?

Telstra.. is my ISP apparently.

 

Is that kilobites or kilobytes per second.

If it was kilobites, you'd be getting roughly 152 kilobytes per second from the speedtest servers (download servers will much often be way slower).

 

When i'm downloading all it says is 18.5KB/Sec, took me roughly a minute to download 600 KB's

 

I just shat bricks believe it or not.

 

after using our 12Gb usage a month ( on unlimeted 256KB/Sec plan)

Fuck 12 Gb thats shit.

Well they slow us down to 56kb, and i still don't get that speed for downloading.

We have 4 people in the house.

 

Well, if that speed test is legit, and yours, then you can tell the issue is coming from your computer.

Run a scan for spyware and other things that may be using up your connection without your knowledge.

it's in kilobits.

and maybe it's not your connection but the location where you are downloading it from is slow? have you tried downloading different files?
