Sythe OSRS Clan Chat?

Would anyone be interested in creating an OSRS clan chat?

 

There's something in the works right now with this!

Surely this is a bad idea? If Jagex finds out all they have to do is check the accounts in there and the majority will
get banned

Or just keep it locked at all times and we don't need to do sales for services or anything, more of just an instant messenger the sythe community

 

The PR team have indeed been working on a friend chat project for atleast a month now. The idea is simple: Act like a normal RuneScape social chat and promote Sythe by using the OSRS Discord (https://discord.gg/fgDa3da) which is sponsored by Sythe himself. The in-game aspects are all sorted out, we just need to word out the project on a thread for you guys.

Here we go again with the negativity. We are well aware that it can be a risky idea but if you don't try, you will never know. Sure, the salt crew can go ahead and tweet stuff but as long as the FC follows Jagex's rules, the most important one would be leaving the RWT aspects out of the in-game chat, there is nothing to be worried about. The project has been running for a month now and we have yet to find any problems. We are closely monitoring the friend chat and trouble makers are placed on the black list so toxicity is restrained.

Yeah you're right, the action of creating a friend chat takes about 2 minutes but you have to dig deeper and think outside the box here. What is the purpose of the fc going to be, how are we going to make ourselves known across the community, how is the ranking system is going to work, what should be the rules, etc. These are all the questions we have to think about before going public, therefore it requires a lot of time and thinking.

That would depend on what's going on in the fc as long as its not a rwt fc or gold buying and selling fc.
