Current World Of Warcraft news :

I am not paying attention to www.worldofwarcraft.com anymore, seeing how I cannot play wow anymore.


Ok if you have any questions about World of Warcraft (street name : WoW) then post it on here! I will try my hardest to answer the question, and if i cannot i will research it and get back to you!

Q: How much does WoW cost a month?
A: $14.99 a month.

Q: What is the final cost for everything?
A: Accroding to www.Walmart.com :

Regular world of warcraft : $19.82

Burning crusades : $29.82

And a 2 month game card : $29.99

that comes up to about :

$80 without taxes

and with the regular world of warcraft you get 1 month free.

Q: What is the highest lvl you can achieve?
A: For combat it is 60 if you only have regular world of warcraft, if you have Burning Crusades it is 70. Max skill lvl is 375

Q: What is the best realm to pick?
A: Well, i personally pick a low population realm.

Realm names : When picking your realm, make sure you know what realm your friends are on. You cannot switch realms with the same character unless you pay for a realm transfer. Will point this out in a later picture.

Type of server : In Normal realms, the focus of the players tends to center on player vs. environment objectives, such as defeating monsters and questing in the world. Normal realms offer a more accessible way to experience the player vs. environment content of World of Warcraft. On Normal realms, you engage in PvP combat when you choose to. You can activate a PvP option in your character menu, which will indicate your willingness to participate in PvP. This will allow you to participate in world PvP and will automatically be toggled on when you enter a battleground, attack an enemy town guard, or enter an enemy city. Your default state will be with PvP toggled off, meaning you can not be attacked by enemy players. You can think of Normal realms as "truce" realms, where faction vs. faction combat is something that is engaged in voluntarily. You can concentrate on quests, harvesting materials, and battling monsters in the world without worrying about being attacked by other players.
However, you can't engage in world PvP unless your intended target is also flagged for PvP.


PvP :

Player vs. player realms have the same PvE objectives and content as Normal realms, but have the added element of perpetual faction vs. faction combat in most of the world. Outside of capital cities and starter areas, the various regions of the world are considered contested areas, meaning PvP combat is possible at any time. That is why you can think of the Player vs. Player realms as "war" realms. On PvP realms, you are in a constant state of war against the other faction.

Green = Friendly territory (allied with your faction - Alliance or Horde)
Red = Enemy territory (hostile with your faction - Alliance or Horde)
Yellow = Contested area (for both factions)
Blue = Sanctuary (PvP disabled for both factions)

RP realms :

If you enjoy role-playing (RP) and would like to imagine that you are an inhabitant of a fantasy-based world, then a role-playing realm may be for you. Players who choose to play on an RP realm should abide by the Role-Playing realm policies and remain in-character at all times. Role-Playing realms give players the chance to develop characters with a backstory who do not simply progress from quest to quest, but instead assist or hamper the efforts of others for reasons of their own. As far as game mechanics are concerned, there is no difference between a Role-Playing realm and any other realm. You don't get special benefits or special hindrances other than the behavioral rules you agreed to when joining a Role-Playing realm. (All about the realm was found on the WoW website.)

I personally pick the horde, but that is just me.


Now onto realm population :

Some realms have a que time, which means you have to wait to get onto that realm. That is why i do research on realms before i pick on suitable for my playing needs.


Proffesions : Just like runescape, WoW has skills that you can do!
Alchemy : Making potions
Herblore : Finding and collecting herbs
Tailoring : Making cloth armor
Leatherworking : Making leather goods
Skinning : When you kill an animal, you can skin it most of the time.
Enchanting : Enchant your weapons to make them better, or even look cooler!

Notice* you can only pick two of the above, so pick wisely. If you have a profession that you do not like, you can un learn it.

Secondary skills : you can learn all of these

Cooking
Fishing
First aid

How much does The entire setup for WoW cost,

And where can i get the Game WoW for free but with no membership or whatever.

 

You would be better off buying the Battle chest which will cost like $40 and comes with one month free membership atleast it should do.

Plus you get the guides which are worth a fair bit seperate themselfs.

lol ill answer any questions that the thread-maker cant answer. i have 2 lvls 70s, a lvl 60 and 1yr+ WOW experiance. =D

private servers but i would not recommend it seeing as these server usually have a lot of bugs and errors, way less people and also the $15/month really isnt that much to fret over...

ive played since the game came out and just upgraded when the time came

 

ok i using the 10 day free trial cuz im broke and cant afford the game, but im trying to get the most out of my 10 days

2 days in i have a lvl 9 orc hunter and my realm is alexstrazza on burning crusade

every time round this time( USA eastern 9pm) i cant log into alexstrazzza cuz its full and i sit there for 20 mins while my positon is in queue and it never loads... i always have to wait till like 11pm

from what i understand i cant play on my lvl 9 orc hunter on any different realm

help/suggestions pls

 

well, if you are always having to wait to log into WoW, i would suggest getting a new realm. It is no fun when you have to wait to play a game. Try going to a lower population realm.

hmm if youve been playing wow since it came out. when did it come out? what was the day tbc ( the burning crusade ) came out. what is the most difficult T3 dungeon pre-tbc. I Already know these.. I"m just asking because it seems fishy to me you keep posting in WoW topics with accounts you wanna buy, If you"ve been playing since ------ .
And tbh this guide fails and falls apart, half those stuff are copied from wow official site. Dont let my posts cloud your judgement -_-

And why did you say you didn"t know how account trades worked ( in your MM Thread when you"ve been playing since release! IMO think youve played runescape and just got greedy and wanted to scam WoW accounts in any way possible,.. Too bad wow account trades are so secure, eh?
