    90 degrees of fail

The whole point of this was to try ot simulate the lighting SMI uses without using more than 3 layers.

Yours resembles mine, but look at the lighting, if thats what we are focusing on maybe you shoudn't have taken 2 minutes.

That is not the point i was trying to get across, by all means experiment to get better at a certain style. Yes, taking insipration from someone such as SMI is good.

However you do not that post your test pieces, get them overated by quite frankly, people who know nothing about graphics, obviously.

When i then tell you where your problem lies you get defensive and try and say that this work was indeed worth such the high ratings.

    C&C helps peoeple improve.
Shitty over the top ratings do not.

    It's as simple as that.

I cannot post back because i have to go now, cya.

    90 degrees of fail

Wow.. phil he got inspired, made a quick design, and you flip. I liked it, I didn't rate it a 8/10 because it wasn't a signature or a design I would use, I rated it because I liked how it was lighted, and how he was inspired. If it was a signature I may have rated differently.

Seriously is flipping out really worth it.. sad.

Well... if he says in the title, "90 degrees of fail". Then why post it on here? Someone calling their work a fail then slapping it on here is the last thing we need. And I agree with Phil, there really isn't any orignality, you just used some lighting effects and a couple blurs, thats all what it looks like to me. Seriously, if you make something that takes 5 minutes, don't post it here. We don't care. Your complaining to Phil saying his lighting is the same. Who cares!? It is a peice of junk that took you 5 minutes to make. Keep it to yourself.

Why the FUCK would you rate "A quick design" so high?
GFX is meant to take time and effort.
You're just backing up what Phil said.
And to be honest, if Phil hadn't said some of that stuff, someone else would have.
