Sort of reminds me of a finger print, I don't know why. Anyways, good job-7/10. Maybe you would get a perfect if you wouldn't have blinded me with the top left.

Crap, i'm sorry but it is.

All you have done is added a gradient with the gradient tool, changed it a bit then added text.

You people and others like you are the reason GFX doesn't improve on Sythe.

You've gone and told someone that thier work is great, with ratings like 8/10, 7/10, and even 9/10.

I mean c'mon, i don't know what standards you judge on but that surely is NOT worth 9/10.

By just saying a rating like that you have made Xjaa think his work is almost perfect and that there is not much to improve on.

Instead of just saying a stupid rating which is way off, next time say which points he can improve on.

    Thankyou.

I like his, though yours is a little more inspiring. What version do you have?

Yep =) You said you were inspired by the Photoshop icon? I took a look, and posted that in response.

If the gradient you used is on top, with a layer style like "lighten" or "soft light", I suggest making the glow on the text slightly less opaque, and just a teeny bit bigger. The gradient should then make the glow noticably brighter on one side. Try using a blur filter on the gradient.
Post the image, if you decide to tweak it ;D

8/10 I liked it, it was good but maybe add some more exaggeration to the back of it :)

Look at my light, look at yours.

    Nice one m8.

Also mine took me about 5mins, I had to actually think of the design.

For gods sake get some fucking brains.

Look there is a difference yes. That's for a couple of reasons:

It wasn't original, i didn't go with the flow, i specifically tried to replicate what you did (in 2 mins i might add). Unlike what you did, you coiuld experiment and looked at how it turned out.

Now listen. Please take this criticm.

There is no orignality, no passion, no idea in that picture.

I know exactly what ways you could have used to create that.

It's extremely bad. It should not be posted in here to rate.

Fair enough if you are a beginner and needs tips, but you've made it quite clear you don't and that you think that is almost perfect.

I'm sure anyone who knows about gfx can back that up.

What i was trying to get across was, if people want to improve they need C&C, not some idiotic over-the-top ratings, that will never help anything except give you false confidence.

    Thanks.
