Rap- Encourages more violence

do you guys think Rap/Hiphop encourages violcene such as gang wars , gang violecne , drugs, unprotected sex , etc and should be ccensored or ban?

 

no, not all of them feature those things and although some do, they aren't even that bad..
its a whole genre of music in itself and rock and such branched off from hiphop.

 

Absolutely not.. I mean it's as if you were saying jagex encourages suicidal for kids that play runescape.... Its completely irrelevant nonetheless it all resides on how the child was raised by there parents and what type's of people there surrounded by and influenced by.

 

If you're weak minded enough to let the music you listen to influence how you act in real life, then its your fault.

Hey im african american i don't appreciate the word "Nigger" being used by other people.... it kind of offends me even thoe you were joking around. It's this pride that we have and it brings us down when called and looked upon like that.

Naw, groups like Kottonmouth Kings might encourage Drugs if your like 9 to 12 years old. But once people really understand music, I don't think it really encourages anything. Like SMR said, if your mind can't handle what is said by some artists, then just stay away from that kind of stuff.

No i dont think rap has anything to do with it its peoples own decisions based on what they think is right

 

violence and crime are caused by greed, poverty and cultural imbalances. People think that blacks, mexicans or any minority is a hoodlum because statisticly they do fill up prisons. However the underlying and common cause and factor is their socioeconomic status. poor people dont have the same life as people in the suburbs. In my opinion those kids from the suburbs are a lot worse because they do terrible things but hide behind their image. at least minorities, like me admit when something is done.

 

Rap hasn't done anything to me except make me wear a hat sideways.
