My laptop screen broke.

Hi, my laptop screen just recently broke... and i've hooked up a monitor to my laptop, everything is ok when i start my laptop up, it puts the image on my monitor... but when the sign in screen comes up it shows it on my actual laptop screen that's broken. My laptop is running Windows Vista and it is a Toshiba Satellite, can anyone help?

 

Well, as far as I know, you have to change the default output for the monitor from the broken one.

If you have an FN Key, press FN+F8 until video output appears on both the screen and the monitor. Then you can go from there.

 

try and get some rca cables and hook it up to a tv for a temperary screen

Ouch man, I don't know how to fix it but i Heard replacing the screen is 3-400 bucks

 

Its easier to help if you actually post whats wrong with your screen, eg/ is it cracked?

 

The screen isn't literally cracked in half, It just has a little crack thing in it, i can't really explain it. Though the vision is all blury and you can't see anything.
