Best Band Ever Created?

The reason i mentioned Running Wild was because it's one of those bands that NEVER changed their style and sold out. From the 80's to now, they still have their classic sound.

 

Metallica and Anthrax both make good music but they are nowhere close to the best band.

These bands will probably be in my top 10 of best bands Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Van Halen etc.

 

I'd gotta' say Disturbed.

Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Old version of The Beatles.

 

Korn, Linkin Park, and Slipknot are the best bands ever. Everyone knows that. In typing these last two sentences it has nearly taken all of the energy left in my body not to reach behind me, pick up a knife, and stab myself in the heart. However, the joke was completely worth it. Everyone who actually listens to those bands, please, take your hand, make a fist, and keep hitting yourself just above your nose until you have forgotten any of them ever existed.

I still listen to Linkin Park from time to time.

Not a big fan of this type of music, But its amazing to see bands still decent after 20 odd years. I know for a fact rap wont be what it is in 20 years. 50 cent wont still be a famous rapper, he will probably be dead.

Not sure on the best band ever though. It would have to be a band that is so old, and still making good music.

Not a big fan, but at least this shows that there is SOME individuality in this forum. Not a lot, but a small amount.

 

I think the most TALENTED band is rush. However i don't listen to there music much. But i think the best ever would be korn.

AC / DC - Unbelievably entertaining, massively popular, rock at its finest.

that's a hard question, I don't even think I can answer that because I like so many. It's all really a matter of opinion. I have always been a fan of green day, Rancid, Dead Kennedys and the Misfits. But I also like Job for a Cowboy (not nu-metal) and Norther. These bands aren't all amazing instrumentalwise, but all together they usually have a nice sound to them. Dead kennedys for example have terrible, satire lyrics, but they all have reason, and are quite clever. some of the songs they came up with ended out strangely timeless, such as 'Holiday In Cambodia'. But this could all be argued, It is all merely opinion. Whether they are punk or metal or rock, I usually like really good lyrics, good sounding overall bands. As in the guitar, Vocals, bass and drumming all fit together in a nice pattern. I am kind of into the insane technical stuff like mathcore bands. Also fast guitar, like children of bodom, but only certain songs stick with me. These may not be exactly stellar examplesof their genre but I like each of them.

 

You cannot define one band as the BEST band seeing as there are many genres to suit everyones style, but out of my genre; Metal, I would say bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, Pink Floyd etc were the ground breaking bands that lifted awareness of the genre. I do like these bands immensely but I do not want to boast about my favorite bands, and going with the thread I will have to say Spice GiI MEAN Pink Floyd.
