So I just recently got a new ipod classic 160GB 6th Gen.

It's pretty nice, I like how its cheaper than the touch, but in return you get 10x more storage :)

The screen is okay for viewing videos when youre on the bus or something, although I prefer the PSP for watching vids. But 160 gigs is sweet

Also I selected the classic over the touch since the touch's storage is too small, and it may look good on the first day, but on your second day of use your touch will look like my buttcrack from all the fingerprints and stratches. Plus the Safari browzing doesnt zoom in the text for you, so you'll be going to google and have unreadable text. I know because my little brother has a 8GB Touch.

I have considered buying a 500GB portable harddrive or bigger, 180GB is small.

Anyway, 30GB should be enough to house most music you listen to, and use of flash memory means that there is less battery usage, meaning you don't have to go home every 3 hours to charge the damn thing.

The 160gb ipod is like a brick in your pocket. It's like the size of 2 80gb ipods stacked on top which it pretty much is. Do you even have over 80gb of music? I only have 34gb of music and I rarely see anyone with more.

GB is not necessary...just get a 80...no one has that much music and not too many people store days of movies on their Pod's either...

I have an 80 gb classic.

Only like 30 gigs of it is filled with all of the videos and music I have on it. I dont see how you'll ever need 160 gigs :S

I bought 160gigs so I could hold more videos. When I convert my videos I use the highest mp4 quality possible, therefore I use a LOT more space for each individual file.

Flash memory in use of media devices is sort of new-gen, meaning they won't have much bigger until they can advance the technology. Considering this, making an 80GB flash storage device would make the user spend rediculous amounts of cash for the storage alone, not forgetting the media player.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha lmfao..

you can zoom in on web pages. "pinch outwards" or double tap.

The touch is better. Bigger screen, wifi, games and apps

The front of the touch doesn't scratch, but the back does. Only if you have OCD, that will be a problem for you.

ARCHOS 605 WiFi > iTouch > iPod classic

For anyone who doesn't know what an ARCHOS 605 WiFi is, it has all the utilities of an iTouch, and was made 4 months before.

My ARCHOS was $300 for a 30 GB, but you may get up to 120GB.

I have an 80gb 5th Gen Ipod video, and I like it, good storage... I also have a touch, but I let my mom use it... I just jailbroke the touch after I won it, put some shit on and gave it to my mom. It's nice, but overrated.

    Grats on your 160gb!
