Japenese Whaling. For Or Agaisnt?

i strongly disagree with the japenese whaling in international waters. the japenes state that they are whaling for scientific purposes but they are killing over 140 of the endangered minkie whale.

Though I am Australian bred and born, and my mother (English) and Father (Dutch) have nothing really to do with Japan, I remain strong with Japanese culture and lifestyle. I do not agree with whaling, however. Word has it Australian border patrol can be given the order to shoot if any whalers come close, though I don't pay much attention to the TV, and what I've heard is second hand information.

 

i too am againts whaling.One of the few marvelous creatures left on this planet and they are trying to hunt it down to extinction for a small scientific experiment.I also read somewhere that most of the whale meat ends up in the market.

 

im aggainst whalenn ... its pathetic, seriously.. they say its for research, but really it ends up on the market... (meat from whale).. and dont they use the skin in perfume?

i think more action needs to be taken, its not rite.. i've heard stories there boats was set to be bombed if they didnt retreat , and they havent... so dont know whats going on there.

If whales were as intelligent as people think, they would have adapted to escape these threats.
Why are whales so big anyway? Just see one and you think What the hell is that? How does it work? Why is it here? Whales are responsible for rising sea levels and flooding our planet.

I totally agree and sympathize with the Japanese, they do something right for once and people shout at them.

 

Moij1, Maybe where you come from you haven't heard of global warming or it's effects?

Well, Global warming is basically us, the humans, using up so much energy such as gas and electricity resources that the earths Ozone layer becomes thicker making the world hotter which then causes the ice to melt, which then of course causes the sea levels to rise.

So maybe, just maybe, should stop blaming the whales and do some research before you post?

Whales are beautiful, peaceful mammals that do not deserve to die and have more right to live on this earth that either you, or me.

Mr James, maybe where you come from you haven't heard of an opinion. In MY opinion, Global Warming is a theory, which Some People have taken and made into a profitable business. My opinion on Japanese whaling, is that it's alright, and not our business because we aren't lucky enough to live in Japan.
Maybe you should do some research before you post?

and its not just whaling. there is a massive hunt of cute seals who are clubbed to death by canadians.

 

also there are some great videos on youtube of sea shepherd activists ramming japenese whaling ships.

 

Why should we care?

 

try to imagine for a miniute, you son/daughter is playing in the ocean. then a big ship come roaring at u. you dive as deep as you can but they still catch you. ur running out of breath! u come up for air and BOOM! u feel a harpoon go str8 into ur flesh. ur dragged aboard the ship and savgely cut into peices while ur ALIVE! then as your dieing ur son/daughter is dragged up aswell!
get my point? whales have done nothing, it is totally cruel.

Yet whales aren't sentient. I mean, should we care about cows? Rabbits? Mice? Ants? Where is the line drawn?

 

but how many cows rabbit mice and ants are there! my neighbors diary farm has over 2000 cows, we have about 300 rabits on ours, the mice eat all the straw and ant nests are everywhere. shouldnt we be preserving the life of our endangered creatures and maybe studying them after they die PEACEFULLY?

 

The whales aren't that endangered, and they're depleting fish stocks.

 

The only Japenese whale I've ever seen was curt jk But I never knew it was legal to whale but I am strongly against it if it is so.
