Are you looking into botting runescape, do you have some questions about how it all works?

I'm experienced in bot farming for about 3 years now and I've made a fair bunch of gold.

I currently run a farm of around 10 minnows accounts, they each make me 300-500k hr. thats nearly 5m an hour with all running

I recommend tribot,dreambot or osbot. but you can use whichever client, i can point you in the right direction

When you start filling your computer space its a good idea to expand into a vps server which will allow you to run new bots on a new ip.

Never bot on a sunday night monday morning, GMT , and try to avoid office hours. 5am-5pm

I have a question that has probably been asked several times already, but who knows, something may have changed since the others asked.

Of the few popular bots, which one is actually the best? I'm not looking to start a farm, i'm going to start an alt-account (one that I wouldn't kill myself over if it did get banned) to just max combat stats. Most of the bots will have the same "anti-detection" sections that try to make the bots looks safe. The only bot I did use (years ago) was RiD, before they shut down the bots, and I never got banned after setting it up for entire days of magic training etc, and never got a ban.

Which one would you use if you were to non-suicide bot your account for max combat?

Cost isn't an issue for premium bots.

Lastly, are there any other bots out there that aren't commonly used like most on here, but are as good or better.

 

I've been doing a lot of research on this topic and it seems using Tribots' looking glass feature (+ human mouse clicks for vip extended) together with a private script is the best way to go about this.

Could you explain the private script part? Is it separate from Tribot, or something I pay something to custom create? I'm actually just looking for something that can do NMZ if that makes things simpler.

 

You can find a scripter on sythe that can program a script that you can download and use on tribot.

Yes as @tom rufford said Tribot is a really great client with good features like "lookingglass"

The looking glass is an anti-ban feature that uses the real runescape client instead of a 3rd party one

Pros : it should reduce bans
Cons : it takes up 2x the cpu/ram of a normal bot



If you are really looking for maximum safety and dont care so much about cost, Runemate is supposed to be like the high class of the botting scene, ive heard great things about them but there are also some down sides. The scripts/client charges you per hour for botting! i think you get 100 hours a month or something to use and you can buy extra. its a strange concept imo but apparently its one of the best platforms about.


And if you're risking your main please be careful, its really not worth loosing a decent account. Remember any client, any script, any account.... as long as you hit start script you have that chance of being banned. its a gamble

I have a couple questions about keeping a bot farm going.

A few months back I tried to make a 5 bot fishing farm, I paid for a 10$ script on osbot and raised the accounts through tutorial island myself before botting them (I played on them for maybe an hour or 2 before sending them to fish).

They fished for about a day and I had them taking breaks at different times but when they got to about 50 fishing they all got banned (I was running them on the same VPS but different IP proxies) and I just kind of ran out of funds to keep my farm going.

What could I have done better? I've been doing extensive research for a while now trying to figure out what the best way to get my fishers up to minnows or sharks but I keep running into a wall.
Any tips are appreciated, thanks.

 

Times haven't changed much when it comes to the OSRS botting scene.
1. There is theory is no best bot, there is only what you prefer. Yeah some will have higher ban rates then others, but its all about variety. I personally used OsBot before going onto a private platform, it was pretty good. Same with Rune-mate which I bot 99 strength and did 5 hours a day with no breaks and it did the job.
2. RiD is still in production (for over three plus years now lol) and actually is still a good color bot. But they still do exist.
3. Could always look into Simba (tried it long ago, and it was amazing), Rune-mate, or even OsBot / Tribot. Each have their own cons/pros. Personal experince, get your own platform and do private scripts, if this is out of the question well, I'd recommend Rune-Mate.
4. Cost isn't a issue? Buy private scripts to help yourself with ban rates / Prems.

Here are some tips: Also farms are ALL trial and ERROR, be prepared. lol.
Make sure VPS are unique IPs (DO(Digital Ocean is the best from my experience))
Bot on Weekends (usually they don't work)
Bot on holidays (based in the UK)
Bot within non-working hours of Jagex. (I assume its like a 9-5 thing.)

1. Botting clients:

• You want to avoid Injection based clients, these are some factors on why your account(s) get banned.
  
• Reflection / Mirror - Mirror (people can argue with me if they want) doesn't make a difference. The ban rates can be the same just as reflection, believe it or not reflection has the best results when it comes to CPU usage, scripts, and overall performance.

2. Proxies (when it comes to farming)

• If you plan on running a farm there are a few things you guys should want to collect: Trial and Error, this is going to be DATA collecting, seeing when to bot, how long bots last, investments when it comes to bots, mirco-managing.
  
• Everyone who wants to run a farm should look into setting up multiple VPS's and which have unique IPs and you should only run 1-2 accounts on at a time. They can be cheaper along with not having to worry about the proxies going dead.

3. Safe botting

• Everyone should be safe botting if botting at all, make sure your times aren't too off and make sure you manually do stuff on the account.
  
• Scripts is what usually get people banned, here is the thing, people thing Premium scripts are the way to go. With that being said, yeah you should pay for scripts as they should have different methods to keep you safe, but you do realize when you buy / sell this script more people use, making the patterns easily detectable and hence its becomes public and well now you have the chance to get banned. You should write your own scripts / pay people for scripts privately and hope it won't get leaked or sold for money. (Especially when it comes to money making methods)

4. ITS TOO MUCH MONEY FOR PRIVATE SCRIPTS / BOTTING CLIENT (PLATFORM)

• Understand people who do code with Java or even other platforms aren't going to do work for cheap. Making a script to your desire does take time and resources. A java programmer can make upwards to $30+ hour. So know if they quote you a decent amount, know its not too far off. If you know a person who knows their shit, they will make sure they take time to test the script making it bug free, free updates and support, also make sure your method / script doesn't get used. (Can't say this for all of em, just some). Not to mention if someone wants a script vai Tri-bot / OsBot or whatever, their API is different and it may take some time to adjust to it.
  
  

Just for anyone who wants to know where I came up with this stuff? Personal experience, know a good friend whom knows Java / ran a bot farm with the friend itself.

Other questions:
Ban rates: No one knows the system, there is no way to tell what they look into for banning accounts, they do manually banning along with system banning. No one knows the rate, doubt anyone will.
Which client is the safest: Each client has its own pro/cons, its up to you which platform you decide to choose. Personally making your own platform is the best option.
Botting is trial and error, have fun.

 

Panda has provided a wealth of great information there for you, it is really something you need to learn and experience to get good at.


Ill just add my 2 cents, the reason you got banned so quickly was because of the method you went for.

Fishing , especially in f2p is done to death. people actually automate alot of free to play farms now like woodcutting/fishing which is completely autopilot ( these automated systems take a lot of time to create )

Therefore those methods are highly tracked and easily detected by Jagex bot catching algorithms,

you had a decent set up vps, unique ips, a good script etc. I suggest trying again buy maybe investing the 3m per account for bonds/14days members. This gives you an edge on all those farmers.

The whole time you are botting think about what will make you less detectable. mix it up and randomize your farms as much as possible, if you follow the crowd with fishing you are bound to get hit

This, Fishing, instead of doing fishing where everyone is why not fish somewhere else where there is less bots or somewhere thats not used as often. (Hard in free to play so I guess disregard my post)
Woodcutting there are different area away from bots that isn't so popular, use those and your rates will go down.

 

Trying to bot 99 hunter, seems like most of the bots arent even getting banned having many accounts at like 30m+ xp on the accounts and they are just suicide botting.

I would bot and play normally mixed

Some tips for you:
1. Make sure you're using a pretty good quality script.
2. Mix up playing times (taking breaks, 20 minutes here and there and only playing for like 1-2 hours at a time or something)
3. Bot on non-working jagex hours, this can potentially help you.
4. If a account got banned on your IP you're flagged, try doing a proxy or use a VPS.
5. Change it up, instead of grinding hunter all day long, do some quest, or train other skills for about a hour or so.
6. I personally used Rune-Mate to bot 99 strength with no problem, perhaps you can use their platform as well. Looking Glass / Mirror Mode will not help your botting, people claim it does, but it don't. A bot is a bot, patterns get detected. Look into a reflection based client and stay away from injection based ones.

 

It would be much appreciated if someone can help me. I have MANY of my accounts banned. It's clear that I'm doing something wrong and I have been experimenting but it's starting to get frustrating watching my investments going to waste.

I'm currently running a few bots doing motherlode.

1) How much initiate playtime should I invest in and what should I do on new accounts before starting to bot? Is it needed at all? I do tutorial island by hand.

2) How long should I bot per day? I'm doing around 10 hours (including break time) per day with 1-2 days break per week. It works on some accounts but not for others.

 

1) I have heard people using Aged/junk accounts for botting because they last alot longer. If you can pick up some old accounts for cheap then its well worth testing if that makes your farm last a lot longer. if not then rest them for as long as possible and do some quests, combat stats etc on them yourself

I really dont advise using tutorial island / fresh accounts for botting as they do seem to get detected a whole lot quicker

2) I like to bot around 5-11 hours a day, i never bot the same amount of time per day im constantly changing it to look more human like. Some days i even dont bot at all just to give it that extra element of realism !


-Since christmas there has been a lot more regular bans, before christmas the bot detection team were not doing very well but recently alot of botters been experiencing higher ban rates than normal!
