Im sick of all the pro-marijuana talk these days, i see it everywhere and i just think its ridiculous. Alot of the supporters are just dumb kids having trouble in high school and resort to smoking weed, now im not straight edge or anything, i do smoke weed on special occasions, but its amazing to me how some people are so devoted to trying to legalize pot that they forget it is almost inevitable.

Once all you kids fail your first year in high school because of smoking weed at lunch in the alley, you'll wake up and realize that to have such a priveledge requires a high amount of responsibility, and people lack that, just because its not alcohol doesn't mean you can over-use it, especially at school.

Sorry all you weed-loving-denying idiots. Weed is psychologically addictive. I know this from experience. I smoked almost everyday for 3 years and my life started to fall apart. I KNEW I had to cut back, but everyday, I would get high and thought I had it under control. I would steal money to get money and didnt care if i got caught. I had friends who were the same way and still are f***ed up only now they are doing more. Then I got arrested for poss and had to go to rehab. I went through withdraw and it was horrible. I threw up a few times and was shaky. But the worse part was that I was so anxious. I couldnt think straight. Thoughts would race through my head. I wanted to get high so bad. The way I look at it is, some people can drink once in awhile and have control. Other people become alcoholics and their life is over. Some people can get high once in awhile, and others just want to get high everyday, all day if they could, and are stoners with no life. Believe me, you start to not care about anything and lose everything and only care about getting high. btw, almost all studies were done on adult brains and they show that weed causes very little damage to the brain. They are just starting to study the effects on people under 21 and they are seeing a whole different picture. They are finding increased depression, psychosis and problems with learning and memory that continue after your quit. They think it is because the brain is still growing. So if you think weed is not addictive you are dead wrong.

As long as it doesn't directly effect the lives of others (Giving your kid drugs or alcohol are equally as bad in my book - or anything similar, kids or not) then I could care less what people put in their bodies or do to themselves. Next thing you know we're going to try and help bulemics by regulating the amount people can vomit. Then again, people have no self control, so let's up the penalty for those that do harm others and let them run wild. (Oh, and get rid of unemployment and welfare for those who lose their job or savings from addiction).

Anything can be psychologically addictive if you want it enough. Take sex, for example. It's true, there are millions of sex addicts out there. It ruins their lives. Should we make that illegal?

Are you sure it wasn't crack you were smoking. I had a friend who's parents sent him to rehab because of weed, and everyone there used to laugh at him. They were mainly alcholics and coke-heads. Weed is not physically addictive to the extent you will throw up when you don't get it, so whatever you were smoking wasn't regular weed. I started smoking weed at the age of 13, and was smoking every day from the age 14 and continued smoking pretty much all the time through school and college along with a lot of my friends. Sure there was one guy I knew who dropped out of school and I'm sure people jump at the chance to blame it on the weed, but another one of my friends got 6 A's, whilst playing rugby which was the main sport over here for Scotland under 18's for the national side, we all smoked weed pretty much every single day. Me personally I put my head down and studied hard for my exams, made it to college, got through it no problems, despite smoking a hell of a lot of weed. The way I look at it, weed is often made the scapegoat whenever someone fails at something. The truth is if you smoke weed and end up getting kicked out of school or college it was not the weed's fault it was your fault (not for smoking weed) for not doing the work!

    1. marijuana is proven not to kill braincells.

    2. marijuana is not physically addictive.

    3. there is NO possible way to overdose on marijuana. (whilst there is with alcohol)

    4. I've smoked weed since the 5th grade, and im in TAG (talented and gifted) classes and making A's and B's in them.

overall, I vote marijuana over alcohol.

Driving while high? Don't do that again. That was incredibly dangerous. It does increase the chances of you having an accident. I don't care if you pose a threat to yourself, but when you do it to others, that's when I object.

If you didn't crash, then you were lucky as hell. The thing is, marijuana makes you relaxed, less alert, etc. People under the influence of substances usually think that they can drive better, but they usually cannot.

Most of you have no idea what your talking about.

As every drug does, there are highs and lows. Every time you use a drug, its more difficult to get you high, thus Taking more gets you a short high but a mad as low (depressant) or w/e
