Suggestions about the monster in Colverfield?!

Well i'm going to see cloverfield on friday and im really pumped about it. Any ideas on what the monster in the movie is? The trailer is sooo secretive it makes me wanna go see it even more! What's attacking the city? What do you guys think?

 

Every time I see previews of it, I think about a monster similar to Godzilla. I am probably way off, but that is what I think the monster is.

One thing is for sure, it is the size of a skyscraper.

 

kinda reminds me of a huge version of an alien (from the movie series like the ones in avp) but regardless the movie looks like it might be pretty good.

 

It's either Godzilla, or else something indescribably gay.

 

well the director of the movie says it is RELATED to godzzla. its like america's own godzzila but not exactly that kind of monster.

The first godzzila movie and the first idea of it was in either Japan or China, i forgot. but the american movie was a remake of the first one.

Godzilla is actually Japanese. Introduced in 1954. I was bored so I googled it. Anyways, I hope Cloverfield turns out good. From what I've heard, it's shot in the perspective of the person with the camcorder. I just hope that it's not one of those movies where all the good parts are in the preview and the rest of the movie sucks.

The monster will prolly be lame, yes.

I, in my opinion, think that the pic is wrong because in the trailer it only rips off the head of the Statue of Liberty and in this pic...well its like a lot bigger and would probably knock it down. I do know that the crab things might be semi-accurate because in the trailer you do see a girl getting attacked by some strange creature in a tent.
