Pixel (M.S. Paint) vs. Photoshop Userbar

Lol. Well I got an idea last night while reading the comments on my runescape pixel pk scene. I thought Id start making avatars, orbs, userbars and various other things completely out of pixel. I myself do happen to have photoshop cs2 and I am quite good in it. But I just recently pick up MS paint. I think Im getting pretty good pretty fast ^.^. Once I release a few more pieces Ill be opening a gallery. Anyhow heres my lastest work, a userbar, made in entirely in MS Paint, making a joke of Pixel vs. Photoshop.

Here #1: black outline ( I usually stroke all my pixel work with 1-2 pixel outline and couldn't decide what then userbar looked better with):

Btw does anyone know whats wrong with my account or is it Sythe? My sig or location doesn't show (and when i go to edit my sig, its the first sig I ever put in no matter how many times I change it), my postcount doesnt go up and my avatar probably doesnt work either....

Can you alaberate on why you don't? And how is it random? Its no different from the pixels in your sig....?

Idk I think it looks decent, I like the pixel character kicking the Photo Shop sign. Not bad.

 

only use a 1px outline for the guy, 2px makes it look bad.

 

Pixel guy is great, the background and scanlines look terrible.

 

It is 1px. What made you think it was 2px?

How is it dumb? I think your avatar is dumb. I think the way you put a rank in your signature is dumb. Make a real one? you mean a shit one, off a userbar generator site? Using Paint? Like the the program I used? Paint? Um? kay?

What i don't get is why everyone sees the need to put those / lines in it.
I like the guy though, it's funny and great at the same time Prefer the one with the line around the edge though, stands out more.

 

Your work is really good. Forget about the photoshop crap. With paint your starting from scratch and building it up. That must be satisfiying once you have completed it all ?

 

Ok me being a pixel artist, I can tell u obviously have NO IDEA what a pixel really is.
I am not flaming just constructive criticism.

1st of all, it looks about like u used photshop. BUT I am on a mac and not at home so I cannot check it out from firsthand.
I am just looking at it.
2NDly, raunch it k does NOT have a pixel in his signature.
3rd, PLEASE remember pixeling IS making a picture pixel by pixel... not saying you copied and pasted lines or anything, but if u did.. its not a pixel.

Check out some tutorials maybe?

Also if you did make the WHOLE background, thats amazingly done from looking at it without paint... Because you took the time to take and MAKE colors just like a pixeller.

Also lines on the guy are not aliased or 1px AS FAR AS I CAN SEE.

Yea, Im serious when I say, EVERYTHING in it was in Paint. I just graidated the colors with a 2px line tool like normal userbars. The scanlines are I also did. They took a while because they didnt look exactly right unless they were exactly 2px's apart, so I sat there adding the scanlines for a while.

THE GUY IS 1PX. Save it, and open it up yourself. You'll see it just looks 2px but really isn't.

And Ill pass on checking tutorials.

But if your sucha good artist, wana give me some tips on the one Im working on now and show me some of your work. Make sure your legit, I already got a guy banned for ripping pixels.
