King of the Skill - Coming 1st November

Anyone taking part in this?

To sum it up you would basically be on an account with ironman restrictions with 10x XP in skills, quests experience rewards and lamps/books.

It runs through November and you will be given a 24 hour playtime limit on your account to do as much as you can.

Prizes for the people with the most XP in a skill or highest total level.

 

Will be boring with people from Hexis ticking all skills.

 

Maybe but will be a fight for resources. There will only be some worlds and at peak times all the areas could be busy.

 

You can do your 24 hours whenever you want though. So it's less of a fight for resources than you think I am afraid.

Trying to get top 10 in one of the skills. Havent decided which one I will be doing.

 

Seems kind of boring... Rewards dont look great either.

 

Well we dont know what the prize will be for #1 they just said it will be ''Something cool''

 

I'm tempted to give it a go tbh, But my irl time to play is tight right now.

 

I think the 24 hour cap is pretty neat as it allows for us people with less time on our hands to still have a fair chance at winning this. I for sure plan on participating in the coming weeks.

 

Idk, I just don't like the fact that Jagex is trying to turn OSRS to a competitive esport game. They should just stick to creating new content and working servers instead of pointless competitions.

This is just a competition between hexis members lol. Who can 2T the longest without mistakes. Good on them to limit log in time though.

I have trouble focusing on AFKing skills as it is, let alone two ticking for extended periods. Not for me.

 

I’m definitely curious as to what the two first place prizes are. Some type of untradable obv, but what.

 

They announced today that #1 would get a limited edition OSRS PC, and number #2 would get a gaming chair, alongside other goodies.

 

OSRS PC, that’s pretty sick. I’d buy that shit

looking at twitter - Randalicious said he isn't participating and had quite a few negative things to say about it, seems like most of the hexis people aren't even doing it.

I guess it's kind of cool? But they keep doing these strange things with the community and I really just have no idea.

the whole H1z1 gamemode they put in the game, was a total waste of dev time and now nobody even plays it, soooooo this is more or less a publicity stunt
