    Ewww... Dragonforce are metal?

    Anyway. Some good bands include: Mess with the bull, In flames, Neaera, Rammstein, Nekrogoblikon, Dan Swano, EpiK, Edge of Sanity, Dry Kill logic, Slayer , Down, And some others which i have no time to list.

    I have other bands that I like, but they're alternative Rock or rap metal.

    True. Most of them are either metalcore, nu-metal or hardcore (ie. junk). The only good bands in that list are Cannibal Corpse and perhaps a few song my In Flames. It's still not heavy metal though.

    Heavy metal is the music that was made in the 80's. There are still similarities, bands such as Firewind, Dream Evil and Hammerfall implement Heavy Metal into Power Metal.

    The real heavy metal bands are things like Judas Priest, Halford, Motörhead, Manowar etc.

    Still not heavy metal (unless you are referring to their first few albums from the 80's) :p They are Groove/Thrash Metal.

    went threw almost every post and noticed alot of this stuff isnt metal or even death metal.

    i noticed a few.

    (lamb of god) but alot of it is hardcore rock.
