Honestly ok yeah they are two genres of music who cares. Posting this isnt going to solve anything or prove its true.
Yeah I think rap sucks but Im not gonna say I lvoe rock because it isnt one genre its many So contrary to popular belief I pick neither because It wont solve anything but make people mad if I go into what crap rap music is.
Besides most people who listen to rap music are white and think they are thug life ^ ^

I'm part of the people who don't exist, who not only listen to Rock, but Metal, Alternative, Punk (I know its a subgenre, but it isn't the same), Hardrock and the list goes on.

I'm very open minded when it comes to music, but I can't stand rap. To me, its not even worth poetry.

I laughed out loud when I read this, but realized you assume they'd know how to spell "myspace". Could be illiteracy, Dyslexia, or simply to much exposure to poor spelling and grammar from the lyrics. They could have been born that way too...

Of course there are exceptions like SMR, but with my general life experiences, those who enjoy blasting Eminem from their car tend to not be the sharpest tool in the shed. I'm not saying Rock makes people intelligent (The kind I listen too is said to make babies smarter, lol), but that people that listen to rap tend to not posess intelligent qualities (like spelling, hearing, grammar, anything).

A lot of rappers today choose to make rap songs because of the ease, you don't have to spend months learning how to play a guitar, and rap songs can be made on a computer.

 

I voted rock, though i don't really care what music i listen to, just nothing crappy. Like all the talentless (about 90%) English bands these days who rip off the Arctic Monkeys.
To be honest i like more of the rock from before 2000.
