    Pearl Harbor conspiracy

I've searched the threads and haven't found one about this conspiracy, surprising.

me and my buddies were arguing about the 9/11 conspiracy the other day when he brought this up, we google'd it and found a pretty intresting website..

    http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/pearl/www.geocities.com/Pentagon/6315/pearl.html

the video dont work on that website, so if you want to watch a 44 minute video from history tv, feel free.
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?d...=88&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0

ill watch it tomorrow, although, tell me how you think about this?

    Pearl Harbor conspiracy

There are a lot of facts reported on that website that I would like to see verified beyond a doubt before I believe. Examples:

"14 August - At the Atlantic Conference, Churchill noted the "astonishing depth of Roosevelt's intense desire for war." Churchill cabled his cabinet "(FDR) obviously was very determined that they should come in.""

"7 Oct 1940 - Navy IQ analyst McCollum wrote an 8 point memo on how to force Japan into war with US. Beginning the next day FDR began to put them into effect and all 8 were eventually accomplished."

    Etc.

The sad thing about these conspiracy theorists is that they often take quotes from people completely out of context, and twist information to suit their own purposes. This intellectual dishonesty has produced a massive amount of skepticism in me whenever I hear of such a thing.

This is exactly what fuels conspiracy theories, and is like you said, sad.

    Pearl Harbor conspiracy

To be fair, there is evidence that the Americans knew about the position and direction of the Japanese before the attack, but there is no evidence that it's a conspiracy.

If they knew about the position and direction of the Japanese attack, and did nothing about it, then technically, that is a conspiracy.

I'm quoting from "Secret Intelligence in the 20th Century", by Constantine Fitzgibbon, published by Panther.
I'd recommend picking up a copy of the book, it's a very balanced and concise look at a period of history we should all be familiar with. It also explains to a lot of the ignorant Bush-haters among our current generation just why U.S. foreign policy is the way it is.

Yeah, these sites generally just twist somebody's words/actions to make them look bad or something. And when reading this, your mind kind of makes you wonder what if?Nobody knows the truth.

supposebly the U.S. knew about the attack that was going to take place on pearl harbor because they needed a reason to get into the war, otherwise germany was going to dominate everyone?
im not to sure about this, but I think thats what I heard a friend say, maybe I'm mistaken.

    Pearl Harbor conspiracy

I saw a 2 hour documentary about the 9/11 conspiracy on the History Channel. The Pearl Harbor Conspiracy was also part of the documentary. Sometimes people take things too far and make the conspiracy's completely fake. I have seen a bit of that on these forums. The truth is what the truth is. I am still deciding whether the conspiracy is real, but I no for certain if I need anymore information I will watch the video "Loose Change".

No. Loose Change may just be the worst 9/11 conspiracy video of all time.

    http://www.loosechangeguide.com/LooseChangeGuide.html

I suggest you read that guide. It exposes every incorrect statement, every quote taken out of context, and every idiotic argument that they make.
