MOTM Announcement.

Hello,

It has come to the attention of the Community Development Team, that the most recent MOTM winner, @Seraphic has not maintained the outstanding membership that got him to that position. It is in the interest of the CDT to have Members of the Month, leave a positive impression on the Sythe community. He has not. It is for this reason that we have decided to strip @Seraphic of his MOTM.

OT: Will there be some kind of recount so that the person who came 2nd can be awarded the MOTM?

 

No, for a couple of reasons but I don't see the need to go into that.

 

why you removing ranks from people now? Seraphic was the member of the month for the work he did that month. What he does after shouldn't really matter.

 

seraphic losing his MOTM is BS. He deserved it and the community teams voted for him. Give back his rank!

 

This makes no sense tbh and his award should stand. He demonstrated the behaviour that earned him the award during the month in question and didn't act out of line whilst in that period, so the sentiment of member of the 'month' is still completely valid. If a restaurant wins an award for having the best burger one year, then starts serving complete shit the next, do they get the previous year's award removed? No. This argument is about standards throughout a certain period of time and Seraphic delivered on that.

I agree that if he had gotten the award for his service at the time, then afterwards got banned or did something wrong, the award for the month that he won SHOULD STAND. If that's the case, then everyone who has been banned on sythe, who received a MOTM award before their ban, should have their award stripped. Period. The only fair. Do these people exist? Idk, but if they do they should get it removed

I think this is wrong. It's like saying that if Lebron was voted MVP for the 2014 season, and then in 2015 he killed someone, the team would strip his MVP award?

I know this isn't the best argument, but I don't see why someone can get striped of a pervious award for something that happened after the award was given. Why should someone who has been banned before get mod status? Should we striped all mods who had pervious bans of mod status?

I mean should a member of the month have a mini rank that shows they were super outstanding, only to be clicked on and be banned? I agree with the cdt on this part. If he wants it he can reform after his ban and become MOTM again

 

Just read the examples above

If someone wins something for something they have done in a specific month their actions for the following months shouldn't matter.

If he got MOTM for one month, just let him have it

I would agree with this if he was banned for an account he sold or something his did during that Month, before he recieved the award.

Can someone please tell me why he was scammed? I have actually talked to him before over sythe and he seemed like a nice person I just would like to know why he was banned:/

Regardless, I Am in the dark on this obviously, but was removing a rank the best idea? Why not just make a formal statement about it and let the Ban be his punishment.

 

Wait so I just found out that he may have been banned for "disclosure of personal information". This has nothing to do with CDT MOTM..

Also, apparently according to him, he should not have gotten a ban since he stated "I found this information on sythe" and claims he only reposted the information.


If this is true, and he got a ban for this, I can get one of Sythe's BEST AND BIGGEST gold sellers who is actually a very very nice guy banned for 6 months since he quoted my IRL name on an unrelated thread.

Lol, this is dumb as fuck. You could have done this quietly and discussed it with him if it was really such a big issue, but instead you decided to make an announcement about it. If he's MotM for X, what he does in Y should be irrelevant - If it's really serious then he'll be banned and it won't matter at all because you won't see him on Sythe.
