How lucrative is botting? Should I try?

hello all. So I was thinking about starting my own RC not farm, with just a few accounts running natures and maybe even some zeah for when I get 77.

    How lucrative is not farming?

How much can I expect to spend per month, per account on proxies, VPS, and dream bot?

How much profit can one expect for running 1 not for 8 hours, and another bot for 8 hours as I sleep?

Is it worth? Is it really worth the risk of getting an account banned?

Someone has offered me a Script for RC that he claims has gotten 2 99 with no bans..

    I would apprichiate all advice!

RuneScape 2007 Cheating Think you meant to post in 07 cheating mate, can't really help you with proxy prices but there's quite a few guides in there.

I would definitely verify his claim of 2x99 rc'ing, as it seems very unlikely.

If you were to start botting using a fresh account I would almost guarantee you a ban, your best way would be to use old accounts play them legit for a while then start to bot.

guaranteed to get banned eventually, i had old 2005 accounts get shit on and banned without a pre-2 day ban.

but by all means do it if you want to pursue it, you're not losing anything from it apparently, just remember to put profits on one account after everyday

A friend of mine let me use several old lower level accounts that I left botting more than 7 hours or so and they all got perma banned..

Didn't really make that much off them before the ban, maybe 50m on 4 accounts I believe. Ran them a few days for 4-5 hours fine.. One night I left them on when I went to bed though and they all got banned, probably had a shit ton of profit on them too. Headless arrows script.. It was Simba iirc maybe 3 years ago.. I haven't played in quite a while. Was also using a VPN.

If you can get over the fact of getting banned when you put weeks worth work in to start again go for it

Yeah it's really not worth it - The richest players all made it from scamming(most of them). Hell even a lot of gold sites started that way. And I'm not encouraging it in any way.. Karma always seemed to catch up with me, I had scammed/lured several Phats over the years and my dumb ass always managed to lose them, usually in regards to my own greed... The most I ever made though was when gambling was still 'legal'.. How long has that been?? Like 5 years now? Damn I'm getting old.. yeah I made a shit ton gambling.. The new gambling on 3rd party sites is a big scam so don't ever do it.

I think the absolute best way to make gold is to flip items/merchant.. I invested my bank in Santa's about 2 years ago when they were like 120m..? Hell maybe 3 years ago.. I hadn't gotten on in a long ass time, and now they're up to 800m.. Some of the gold I won in duel arena, some I bought, some I got from flipping tongue capes when they were extremely volatile..

Treat the GE like the stock market with a big enough investment and patience on your end you can make quite a lot.. I think the biggest mistake people make when trying to invest is not making long term investments.. You should invest at least half of your GP in long term stuff, i.e., rares.. I myself would invest in the more popular discontinued items between 30-100m since the higher rares are pretty volatile right now. With the rest of your gold I'd flip high level members armor/weapons and maybe even lowers like santa, h-masks, etc.

Runescape is definitely a game of opportunity.. I remember when tree-hats came out. They were EXTREMELY volatile.. The PC FC was getting spammed and manipped so badly I had bought a few for 15m and immediately resold on GE for upwards of 185m a piece.. That's been years ago now, but things like this happen quite often.. There are always opportunities to be taken.. I made those flips within the first hour of tree-hats being released.. I knew it was going to be volatile, but the extent I did not know.. And this is definitely not to say that this is the norm.. I've anticipated other releases with the same hindsight to only be disappointed. But it does happen..

There is always someone out there looking for that next glitch for that next lure, the next ridiculous margin on an item that no one is flipping, etc.. I have never played a game that was more opportunistic than RS when it came to the economy. I know that's a pretty generalized statement, but keep up with updates, look at the forums every once in a while.. Proactively making money by flipping takes a LOT of time. I don't even get on anymore unless it's to check the GE, which is maybe 4 times a year. Acknowledging and taking advantage of an opportunity is the greatest and hardest part. :)

    Hope that helps :)

It all depends on the method and script you use. If you invest heavily into it. It will be but there still chance it won't be. If you use free scripts etc you will get banned

Personally just as runescape, the game as a whole runs on RNG, i would apply that to batting too, for instance i have maxed an account from batting no issues, this was like couple years ago while a year ago i tried batting on a pure and it got banned after 2 hours, really about how lucky you are, you could bot for along while and no problems, hence why people do many accounts and do an easy task to acquire gp, so if they get banned its not hard to repeat and get another back up and running

If you've been banned before you have to basically change your IP and get a proxy. Also long hours will get your account banned quick, botting is really RNG like said above. I had an account I got a few 99s and one account that got banned after 6 hours. Its definitely changed these days though.

You gotta spend money to make money. You'll have to spend money to figure out your own stuff to bot. People that are successful botters usually tight-lipped and keep everything close to their chest. Just dip your toes in for a bit and if you don't feel it's something you could do just pull out before you invest too much. GL either way.

Depends about how much work you want to put in and invest, I think playing the game is just better.

Ban rates are pretty high and you'll have to work a decent amount at the start and have a lot of reserve.

keep you investment low, that's always my best advice. Don't throw a bunch of money at something until you understand it more. Tackle your issues 1 at a time.

expect to be banned, plan around it.

If you want a good amount of profit it will cost you some learning money. There is a learning curve which can vary from person to person in expenses, I personally wouldn't do it myself, but some others might if they are dedicated enough for it.
