Okay so I contacted him regards to rare username sales, he asked for me to add him on skype.



So I did, I searched " Live:Runegoldsales "

A conversation began in the details of my name, how much he would purchase it for etc etc, but throughout this conversation I was a bit curious, so I asked for a personal message. ( I didn't link my user profile at any point, therefore a impostor wouldn't know my user as I only stated what I was selling & that you had asked me to add you on skype )

So I received a personal message:



It was at this point I realise I had added a " Impostor " due to the fact my skype display name was previewed different in the PM yet the conversation was the same.. So I checked the underlying profile id ( not display ) which I was corrected the skype was a impostors..




Notice " _1 " at the end.

So then I went onto to search the actual skype " Live:Runegoldsales " & guess what, it's not existent or private, because when you search " Live:Runegoldsales " the " impostors " skype is the only available option to add.. So I was like okay that's strange, but then going back to my conversation with this " Impostor " I never once stated my sythes profile page nor did I publicly interact with RuneOrder via skype, it was strictly through private messaging..

I'm unsure whether this is enough evidence to prove RuneOrder is behind the attempted impostor scam, but the fact his initial skype is non existent & the " impostor " knew who to request the pm to ( my profile page ) without me evening stating it, is really dodgy.. From my experience within Moderating market platforms I would say this is enough evidence BUT this post is more for awareness and caution of trading with this user..

 

@rarestnames have you got the full skype conversation as the moderators will probably ask for it?

 

I use Web Skype so conversation doesn't log, but it's more to bring awareness & I think the given evidence regardless of the conversation raises suspicion.

 

The conversations log the exact way as a normal Skype as I use web skype often. You're saying you skype display name was playin_chicks meaning your profile is livelayin_chicks yes? Just trying to help out as mods dealing with other report atm

 

No I'm saying " Livelayin_chicks " isn't my skype name which raised the concern.. Also if you log out of web skype your conversation is wiped, which as I don't use skype once I realised it was a impostor I logged out & then I realised I should probably raise awareness to protect other users from the same attempt..

 

I dont even understand what this thread is about, my only skype is Live:RuneGoldSales

 

Sorry for postering here but it might be helpfull.

My work skype is most always setuped on web skype and im using web skype over the years and it always save chatlogs.

And i tried to look for skype Live:RuneGoldSales and there are no match for it only one skype where found:

Thanks for confirming this, it's also strange that I requested a private message from the " impostor " without directing my profile page & received one from RuneOrder..

As for web skype not logging conversation, all my messages to contacts upon log out via web skype aren't logged ( not sure if this is a setting I have enabled or not ).

So the real Live:RuneGoldSales added me himself and then the search results went to this:

So i was interested what happening and did some research and what i found i can't explain:

What i did I asked few guys to try to add him from differents ips:

So then i tried myself i saw only fake one to add as picture above till he didint added me.
1 guy tried to add him from European Ip and found only Fake to add too.
1 guy tried from USA and found Both skypes to add, the real and fake.
1 guy tried from Australia and found Both skypes to add.

I told him what i found and he just told me he doesnt care.

This impostor's Skype belongs to someone else that is banned on Sythe for using impostor accounts.
