The way I got out of gambling was gambling to the point of where it wasn't fun anymore.

I feel you man, I have also been through a kind of addiction to gambling but have been able to stop when needed. What you need to think is ....

Why waste the money - Most the time gambling is often played to make money right? But how often do you actually come out with? Personally i'd gamble just to make big profit which often lead to me loosing it quickly.

Theres a way to block websites for like a certain amount of time through the day if that would help?
If not i'd suggest asking a live chat of the poker website to close your account.

I've struggled with gambling since I turned 18 years old and have seriously lost thousands in minute's which led to me being really depressed and upset with myself and life, I now don't do it as much and only go on the slots or roulette maybe once a week if that, I'd advice getting help from a professional or just do what I did and avoid all aspects of gambling for at least a month.

It's really quite hard though, every town I go to there's gambling shops, always advertised online and on the TV, If he can go 3/4 weeks with no gambling then it should get much easier for him.

Just host home games with like $5 BI's or some shit. You'll notice (probably) that people play way differently when you're playing super small stakes or 'fun games' but try to find fun in adapting your game to exploit their weaknesses. That way you can still get enjoyment out of playing the game you love without going through your whole savings.

I've seen tons of people in the same boat as you... they're easier identified in live games, saw one guy hit a mini-bad beat jackpot at Maryland Live and lose the entire thing + his 200BB stack an hour later. Don't be that guy. If you were a fighter and just got your ass kicked every single time you fought you'd eventually say fuck this, it's not for me.

I can totally relate to this. A year or 2 ago I lost £3k (of money that wasn't mine) in the space of 2 hours. I didn't even realise it until everything was gone and I was just sat there like damn.

It took me 2 years to pay off the debt to the bank. I promised myself that I would never do anything like that again but Its almost like I crave the 2 minutes of adrenaline and once the adrenaline is gone I get super depressed. I have chilled out a bit as of lately however every other month or so I just deposit $1000 and blow it. I always think in my head "this time I will turn this in to something crazy" I have gotten to a $20k inv at one stage and just couldn't sell it and ended up loosing it all. It was the lowest I have ever been once I lost it all.

Ever since I have gotten into gambling it has to an extent ruined my life. I am constantly thinking of how much I can loose this month, some months I blow all my wages and screw myself over.

As of this current time I am in no debt but I am scared I will do it again and rack up a bigger debt.

Try get into a free to play mobile application, so you get the same sensation of building up currency.
risking it, playing advantages opposed to losing money on the actual sport. Also: 0800 654 655 (You can call them even for minor support, it doesnt hurt) Can help you. Here for chats if you need to message my Sythe PM

tbh just stay away from it all together.
If you become too invested in a gambling game, even a free version, it may be a gateway to further problems with gambling real money.

Free to play games are good, don't let yourself spend money now or then though, get into the mindset you're never going to win big, and even if you did once you'd lose it all again in the future and then more, it's not worth the risk to gamble man.
