replying to my own thread?

I was wondering why/how long i am limited to replying to my own thread? It is currently 6 hours but i see plenty of people replying frequently to people in their threads.

You may only bump your thread once every 8 hours.

Rule that states this:

• Excessive Bumping: No double posting or bumping in threads within 8 hours of your last post in a given thread

If you see people conversing in their market threads, then report the posts where they do that at the top right corner of the post where it says "Report", and they will receive an infraction for bogus bumping if this is the case as that would bring their thread to the top everytime they post a reply, and that could easily be prevented by PMing them on Sythe to discuss there, or on another platform (Skype, Discord).

Thanks mate, I'm more referring to people replying to others who have posted their skype details or asked for quotes and they seem to be able to reply straight away where as if i try reply to someone who has posted it won't let me

 

I think it's because you have to quote their post in your reply, but that could be extremely wrong on my end just assuming on that.

 

Yeah i've tried that aswell.. Thought it must've been some market restriction because my email wasn't verified or something. Strange! Owell doesn't really matter. Cheers.

why would there be a rule on it if it's physically not possible. I'm not talking about bumping i'm asking about replying to people who are asking for my skype or asking for rates.

 

it is possible, but its best if you don't know how its done :b
try to PM them next time or something.
