Debbit card

Ok soon im getting a debbit or debit card lol.... and for the people who dont know what it is -.- .. its basicly a card you can put cash on .. now my question is.... if i put lets say 50 odd pound on the card ... can i transfer it onto my paypal account??

 

Yes, you can use a direct debit card as a credit card.

 

Yes, if the bank account is linked to the paypal address, i use my debit card on my paypal..takes about 7days to transfer the funds though..

Also, make sure you have the money in the bank when you are transfering funds, because say, you put £50 into your paypal..but you take it out of your bank via a cash machine, Paypal will try to take it out, and it will fail, and you'll be £50 in debt because of an overdraft shit..

It's bullshit, it happened with me in NATWEST and i got £100 in debt, so i had to put the £100 i took out originally back in, or they would get the solicitors on me..

 

I dont have a bank :s thats the reason why im gonna use debbit card do i 'need' to have bank to use it :S

 

Debit cards are basically the same as a Credit Card, except the money comes directly from your bank account. So yes, you can put money into PayPal from them.

 

Well it has to be a real debit card. Not one of those "gift" debit cards. In addition it has to have the visa or some other credit card company backing it. Plus since I'm guessing your under 18 you still might not be able to use it online since 18 year olds aren't allowed to buy porn. It will depend on the bank and if your parents put any restrictions on it.

 

Don't count on it working. It may, it may not.

I have a sort of debit card which does NOT work on paypal

its just the bank thing :S im worried about i dont have im saying can i just put cash onto the card then from cash onto paypal??? if not im fucked lol

 

You don't have a bank account?

 

You don't put money on the card. It goes in your bank account, and the card can be used to withdraw money directly from the account.

You do need a bank account to have a debit card.
