I have 121 Virus Threats on my PC [HELP]

Okay i have norton anti-virus (06) EXPIRED


I dont have moeny to buy it again

i need a FREE Anti-Virus programor website that will find the viruses and will delete them i am only finding prgrams that will find the files but wont delete them...

(Yes i looked in Sticky Thread plz help me if u can)

 

if you have that many viruses you may want to consider reinstalling your OS.

A good antivirus is "avast!" google it its free and works really well.

 

thanks i am now using AVG its alright its found quite a few of the viruses its just really really SLOW! is Avast Fast?

 

None of them are fast. They're all slow; why don't you try comparing every single file on your computer (at least 1000+) against a list of over one million virus definitions?

theres like over 100k files on my pc lol i only have one trojan now but i cant get rid of it..

 

kaspersky is probably the best out there, you can download it on a thirty day trial and it will get rid of all the viruses.

 

Truly if you have 121 viruses you probably would think about buying a new computer...atleast i would. If those viruses are bad your whole computer will be crashing soon sorry my friend. I have really no advice for you but to get your parents to buy you new Norton Anti-virus program.

Try Anti-Vir, it's free.

 

1 - Get Avast! ASAP
2 - Get SpyBot Search and Distroy ASAP
3 - Get WinPatrol ASAP

All can be obtained from Download.com


Scan, Remove..etc..etc**

Restart you computer, and scan again.

Afterwards,

Get
4 - Spyware Doctor
5 - Ad-Aware 2007 and
6 - Windows Defender.

Again, all are probably on Download.com

**Scan using all of them. If a virus does not allow you to. Get ComboFix and run it.

If you still have problems contact Avast! Forums, They will guide you step by step.

Do not make online purchases/Log into important email from now on untill you complete all the steps above

121 viruses and your complaining?

I scanned my mums computer, over 312,000 viruses on it from 3 solid years of downloading music, porn, hacks, games, torrents, lol.

So i gave her a new computer..

 

Go to www.bitdefender.com then go to the search box and type online scan or use this link http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html then click i agree then download the active x and let it scan. it will find and delete viruses.

 

Are you kidding? I have 300+ virus in my computer but i got rid of them all, THANKS TO AVAST!!!!

 

Don't sure Norton btw it uses a lot of RAM and that will make your computer a lot slower.

 

Avast! wont let me delete my virus i have to buy the upgraded version :S wdf..

 

Eset NOD32 works good for me. I'm only using the trial but it found 2 viruses that Avast, AVG, Anti-Vir and McAfee couldn't find. They could be false-positives but at least NOD32 found them. A suggestion, stop downloading porn and surfing stupid websites. Either that or get a better firewall. Another suggestion is get Ad Aware SE or some other good antispyware.

I person would get AVG for free. Then I would get either spybot or Spysweeper (which can be obtained for free). Then you should be good to go after a disk clean up and a defrag.

Oh yeah and get rid of norton

 

reinstalling the OS won't get rid of the viruses. You have to reformat to get rid of of completely or use McAfee's stinger in safe mode to get rid of em.

o and btw norton sucks it doesnt protect you from viruses, but rather does the opposite. Use Eset Nod32 instead

 

Reinstalling generally involves reformatting, unless you're doing a repair install. I think you need to reformat before installing windows or else it'll "import" the other windows with new system files.
