Favorite Memory Playing Pokemon?

So I noticed another sythe user had a mudkip minirank, which made go looking for my ds lite i bought after my original gamboy advanced shot out. I remember the day I got that gameboy. It came with the sipder-man external lights because it wasnt backlight. Anyway, I started thinking about my favorite pokemon memory and I think that had to be this one trip to North Carolina. Not sure why we were going their, but I remember staying up and playing Pokemon Emerald on my blue SB for over 18 hours straight. keep in mind, this was probably weeks after the SB game out and I was pretty young. I ended up evolving my treecko to Sceptile before we even got to North Carolina and even remember spending over and hour running through the bushes in the first forest for that 1/1000 chance of catching a pikachu, and I got it! By the end of the trip I had beat all the gyms and eventually got bored and moved on.Although,I think I liked Fire Red and Leaf green over Emerald!

Anyone have any stories?

Getting stuck and not being able to finish the game... Feels bad man

 

Playing it on the gameboy was fun back in the days, best memories were on there.

 

Watching my friend run from a shiny golbat because he thought his game was broken, also getting pokerus from a gameshark and thinking my pokemon were gonna die, so I traded them over to my friend's game and they got it too and panicked.

 

Waking up 7am every morning meeting friends on "the wall" down the road from my house and sitting playing pokemon Red/Yellow/Gold all day long with a link cable for battling and trading, Those where the days man!!

PS: Flash cave was with worst!!

 

Not playing anymore after I didn't know where the hell to go in Pokemon Red. I eventually lost my game.

Running into strangers playing and conversating about it.

 

I played one of the RPG ones on the gameboy, I forget the exact title of the game I played but it's been at least 10 years since i've touched anything pokemon related. That being said, I still briefly remember it; hell I even still have my pokemon card collection and it just kinda sits in my room collecting dust

 

When I was a wee lad I enjoyed the blue, red, yellow, silver and gold on the GameBoy color.

Was never huge into Pokemon, but obviously my fondest memory was when I played it for the first time at a friends house. I used to stay over at his like every single weekend, and he's originally who got me into RS, and he ultimately lead me into playing Pokemon for the first time on the Game Boy. Was fun running around battling different Pokemon in the long grass areas, and hearing that battle into sound the moment a fight was initiated.

 

I was a beast at all the like red/blue ones. Bought a black 2 game last year and I'm currently lost in a town unable to find some dude and i refuse to lookup a guide. Shits changed too much lmao

Reaching the elite four for the first time on pokemon yellow was a dream come true back when I was a little kid

 

I always played Emerald together with a friend when Emerald just came out when I was like 11 or 12. There were no real internet guides yet on Pokemon (or we didnt know about them back then) so we were casually playing and all of the sudden we come across Kyogre. We were freaking out and caught it lol.

 

I miss the days when you played isolated without being able to take the easy way out. you HAD to figure it out with your friends. For me it was the pokemon red not emerald but i bet the experience was the same
