Everyone has the voice, you just drown it out. Which is good, thats what all middlemen do. I do too. I haven't scammed, and neither have any official middleman as of yet. Just becuase you have the voice doesn't mean your a scammer, i think thats what you were thinking i meant. It's not. Ever watch cartoons/shows were a charector has the devil on one shoulder and a angel on the other? Both telling the charector to do things. Devil of course being bad things, vis versa.

Taking everyone elses ideas and repeating them multiple times in one big post is what I do best.

It also gives me an excuse to put my username at the end, so when people don't want to read my page of stuff they can just scroll till they see it and move on. I wouldn't do it if I didn't get a laugh out of it every time someone complains.

I'd be curious to see some input from Sythe on this thread.

That's hippocritical. Why wouldn't Mods be equally as inclined to abuse their ranks? How about Frequent MIRC users? Highly trusted? Donators? People with high Post Counts or late Join Dates? All these things can be abused if people want to scam before time is up. Should we take it all away? No. It still wouldn't make a difference.

Not if your "opinion" is actually your perpective on the temptation to scam in terms of an elite group you've never been a part of. Not trying to flame you in any way, just stating not all people consider your post an opinion.

 

Global moderators have the exact same urge any MM would have. Saying to use a global moderator, and not an official MM is a completely biased view.

Secondly, like I said before and will say again.

THE INITIATIVE TO SCAM HAS NOT INCREASED AT ALL!

MMs still have the EXACT SAME LIKELY HOOD TO SCAM AS THEY DID BEFORE.

For the people who are dumbfounded by that statement, I'll explain.

I'm going to be using "points" to describe my point, not the most advanced way, but bare with me.

Alright, let's take let's say 2 months ago. The more points you have, the more likely you are to scam. You can have a max of 10 points.

Now, MMs let's say would be 1 point. The rest of the Sythe community, would be a 6.

So, MMs would have a 10% risk, while others would have 60%.

Now, this update comes along. MMs go up to 2 points, while the community goes up to 8.

Now, MMs would have 20% and the rest would have 80%.

This is all just random values, but I'm trying to make the point, that as the MMs chance to scam did increase by a small number, SO DID THE ENTIRE SYTHE COMMUNITY. Therefore we were just as likely to scam before as we are now.

Wasn't the best example, I know, but I hope you get what I'm trying to point out.

Secondly, a MMs price, since you say everyone has one, would, hypothetically speaking, increase or decrease just as every single other person's on this site would. Meaning, the chance of them scamming DIDN'T increase at all, they are still at a much less risk of scamming than normal members.

You basically proved my point when you were trying to argue it. Then why not run with 50M if they planned to scam from the beginning. EXACTLY, not a single MM has scammed so far, and none of them "planned" to scam because of this update that ISN'T EVEN IMPLEMENTED YET.

Like I said before, if you can give me an honest straight up answer, that less money is being scammed than would be if there still was officials, then fine, this decision was good.

0 GP has been scammed by officials, yet millions have been scammed by people who went WITHOUT an official.

Now tell me, how has this decision "saved so many people from getting scammed". As none have, and none would of.

I know at least two past officials who have scammed and proven to have scammed, and who are you to say that none of them are corrupt? I know for a fact not every scam is reported .

Now that Jagex is watching even closer for unbalanced trades, and because of this we're less likely to be employed for high risk trades (if we even bother in the first place) we need SOME way to convince people to trust us so we can scam them (especially because Jagex makes it harder to sucessfully scam now too) now that you've stopped us dead in our tracks by removing the only good way of identifying trustworthy people on here...
